I understand that work had to slow down over the past few weeks due to increased water levels from recent heavy rainfall. This is a common challenge in coastal and water-based infrastructure projects, and we commend the contractor for prioritizing safety and site management under these conditions. Morso, the portion the contractors are working on now cannot be dammed hence the water backlog in some areas. While we apologize for this inconveniences experienced, we also implore residents to be patient and show understanding with the Government in the provision of the resilient infrastructure. Our team remains in close communication with the contractor to monitor progress and ensure the project stays on track. Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Federal Government is committed to completing the National Library Headquarters in Abuja. Over the past few months, the Federal Ministry of Education has held several meetings with members of the National Library team and its contractors to discuss the resumption of the project. The project, which was designed in 1981 and began construction in 2006, is the third (3rd) of three national monuments (the National Ecumenical Centre and the National Mosque) that has yet to be completed. This week, my team and I toured the project site with the CEO of the National Library, the project’s architect, and contractor to assess the progress made before construction paused in 2012. By June 2025, we will proceed with Phase 1 of the project, which will include the completion of Basement Levels 1 and 2, the Ground Floor, the Second Floor, and the building's external works and furnishings. Mr. President is deeply passionate about Nigeria’s human capital development, of which education is an integral part. The President has also instructed TETFund to allocate funding towards the project to ensure its resumption and completion. With a National Library, we can provide all Nigerians with a communal learning environment to help them grow and become their best selves.

The Plot 6038 project, an important development within the International Aviation Community of Beijing Daxing Airport City (BDAC), has recently completed its foundation work and moved into the above-ground construction phase. Designed to address the shortage of high-end housing in the area, the project will include seven residential buildings, along with commercial and hotel facilities.
