Today I walk into the tunnel for half time … I left a lot of good work on the field in the first half … I’m excited to regroup and ponder what I did out “there” and come out stronger, with more intent and understanding and learnings from the 1st half. Four years ago, I signed an emergency order during COVID to temporarily transform JFK Drive into a car-free promenade for people to gather safely during the pandemic. This one change was so successful that we made it permanent and created one of our city’s great new open spaces. For the last 13 years, our tradition is to attend church service a day before our wedding anniversary. We fellowship, pray & praise God for another beautiful year of marriage. Jumbo is just the most incredible dog. He is about 10 years old and I rescued him from the streets. He has health issues with his back legs that we manage but despite all that he acts like a puppy. Today was his first day living in the jungle and he also met the other dogs for the first time. All dogs take a while to settle in and there can be fights over territory, but not Jumbo. He just walks in everywhere like he owns the place. I’ve never once seen him fight or have an issue and every dog just instantly fell in love with him today and followed him everywhere. He has the same effect on humans. Everybody loves him as he is just a big giant puppy and lives in the moment. He got to meet his great great granddaughter buttons. Jumbo is actually neutered but looking at them they simply have to be related. Toys 🧸 Jungle walks 🌴 New dog friends 🐶 New humans 🥰 Tasty food 🥘 Jumbo said he’s going to be very happy here even if his 7-11 is a few miles away now. The best boy there every was 🥰
