Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours: TACO for the 5th time? Trump just canceled his own strike again because the Iranians are begging for a deal. Well, if you look at the video from MarineTraffic, the only visible traffic is through the Iran lane. At the end of the video, you will see the LNG tanker, Gaslog Shanghai, show up as it was reported that the tanker was abandoned. Rotterdam Energy made it through. Lucia A, a Suezmax, made it through at the end of the video using the Oman lane. There are transits happening, but they're not enough to change the oil math. In my view, unless the US is willing to give Iran complete control over the Strait of Hormuz, there's no deal. That's been the case since the MOU, and it's still the case today. Now that the Bab al-Mandeb card has been played, I think the next step in escalation is Fujairah. I've been saying that's the last card the Iranians could play, and they've been waiting. No one knows when, but it appears inevitable if they want to force even more concessions from the US.

A Bell 407 collided with a open hangar door while trying to depart a airport hangar alleyway in Utah. I’ve seen several similar accidents happen over the years and this accident was easily preventable. For all the helicopter pilots out there, please do not takeoff from a small hangar alley like this and at a bare minimum close the hangar door. This 407 produces hurricane force winds with its rotor wash and could have easily forced FOD out of the hangar and into the aircraft. This aircraft was on a dolly with a tug and it would have probably taken the pilot an extra 5 minutes to find a more open and suitable location to depart from. You can also produce your own mechanical turbulence from the rotor wash hitting buildings and going back into your rotors make your hover less stable. Thankfully the only occupant onboard was the pilot and they were able to walk away with non-life threatening injures according to news reports. I also highly encourage unhooking any tow equipment for the dolly and moving it out of the way before taking off. So many times it just comes down to simple laziness and complacency. PS. Disappointments surround us from all sides. We feel broken.. But we will definitely come back from under the rubble.. We in the north Gaza cling to the land like the roots of trees clinging to the soil. There is no wind that can uproot people who want to remain in their place. We are not just numbers.... We have a case. But there is no justice in this world.. My friends and loved ones.. Based on your advice, I decided to buy cat food and not wait. But I decided not to buy for a very long time for fear of wasting money. I also want to buy now so that I do not feel regret if a ceasefire occurs. Everyone knows that we have to buy from the black market, and unfortunately the prices are very ridiculous. So I will buy enough to last 3 months.. I will try to do my best to find food for cats, but if I cannot, the alternative option will be to use canned human food... I already have enough cat food to last until the end of December. But I want to buy it now because canned meat is available now.. I also mix bread with cat food to make it last longer...as shown in the video below I had a beautiful shelter before the war.. it was completely destroyed.. It had more than 60 cats. There are now about 25 cats left, and there are some cats nearby who find love and food, so they come to eat with the cats in the shelter. Day 5 of my 30-day water fast. Yesterday (Day 4) was the best day I’ve had so far. •Least cravings. •Least anger. •Least frustration. •Least crash-outs. It feels like I’m purging out every negative emotion and toxin that’s lived inside me. I’m having strong emotional responses—crying at things I wouldn’t normally cry at. Even just thinking about food hits different. Taco Bell. Sushi. Kebab. And during Ramadan, knowing my mom is cooking up a storm every night makes it even harder. The vape cravings? Completely gone. But I know that if I think about it too much, my body will remember, so I just keep my mind moving forward. Started at 200 lbs on Day 0 (night time weigh in with food intake and water intake, dropped to 192.2 on Day 1, and today, on Day 5, I’m at 181 lbs. Not trying to lose weight too fast—I need as much on me as possible to survive the next 25 days. But the best part of all this? Being live 24/7. Not just to prove I’m not eating, but because I’m building a real bond with the people watching. It’s just me, them, and Muffin in this cabin. Love you guys. But I know that if I think about it too much, my body will remember, so I just keep my mind moving forward. Started at 200 lbs on Day 0 (night time weigh in with food intake and water intake, dropped to 192.2 on Day 1, and today, on Day 5, I’m at 181 lbs. Not trying to lose weight too fast—I need as much on me as possible to survive the next 25 days. But the best part of all this? Being live 24/7. Not just to prove I’m not eating, but because I’m building a real bond with the people watching. It’s just me, them, and Muffin in this cabin. Love you guys. Stateless History Node is almost like a regular Ethereum node, but it doesn't store state and it doesn't have EVM execution. It's used only for syncing events and thus - is faster and gives you FREE INDEXING. You don't have to pay 6 figures for RPC anymore! Just spin up a Stateless History Node, plug rindexer or Ponder there, and enjoy free (AND FAST!!) indexing! This node is syncing >1000 blocks per second at my local pc (less than 6hrs for the whole Ethereum), and it should use less than 200GB - which means you can host it on a MacMini, Hetzner or whatever. You can futhermore filter that by using block ranges or bloom filters, etc - I haven't developed this yet. What you see is a proof of concept. It works via native devp2p 'eth' protocol, but with EIP4444 and The Prune we would have to also support era1 archives and Portal Network. But so far it works - there are plenty of peers serving historical receipts, and they serve them FAST! If you run Stateless History Node you can also serve the blocks and receipts - so that could help to preserve archival data too. For now there is no data validation yet (and even no data storage - that's a very early PoC), but we can verify validity of chain by simultaneously running a lightweight CL node (or not lightweight if you're extremely paranoid). And then support verifying the hashes of receipts and blocks with their parents, maintaining full integrity and zero trust. It's also written in rust, btw. So, I guess, at least for Ethereum Mainnet the era of RPC's pumping moneybags is over - there's finally a local, trustless and free indexing alternative available. Too sad this won't work for Optimism / Base , cause despite introducing P2P after Bedrock - they haven't enabled receipts transfer in the protocol (or at least I couldn't find one). Arbitrum is even sadder - I don't believe there is a P2P layer at all - you just have to run your own node, hold state and execute blocks to get events. There is hope - Paradigm recently released Ress - stateless execution, but it requires nodes to support Witness preparation & exchange - but this could work for L2s - cause the main blocker for local RPCs rn is huge state (VPS with TB storage cost a lot), and the second blocker is EVM forks makes it hard to hold a node - it needs to be maintained, upgraded, etc. Ress at least solves the state part. But anyways, I will try to continue working on this and release some MVP version with RPC endpoint and data storage soon - follow the updates!

Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours: the 8th deal? Since the TACO yesterday, Iranian news reported that the US may be willing to let Iran control inbound tanker flows. This is funny as shit because whoever controls inbound tankers essentially controls outbound flows. But who gives a shit about logic these days. Just as the market was set to open on Sunday, the US sent a convoy through the Oman lane where a panamax, Velos Amber, was spotted with its AIS turned off right before it entered. You can see it in the video from MarineTraffic. Shortly after, UKMTO reported that Iran fired something at the tanker. It did not hit, but it was likely another warning signal. What's clear is that the Oman lane is still active with firms like Kpler and other showing flows close to 3-5 million b/d. What's unclear is when the Iranians will implement enforcement on the Oman lane, especially for inbound tankers. I suspect we are near the end of this TACO nonsense. From an oil inventory standpoint, inbound VLCCs to the US will push commercial crude inventories to operational minimums just as SPR runs out at the end of August. Trump, along with the IEA, will have to announce another round of SPR. It's now or never.
