The issues the 3-1-3-3 causes against a 4-4-2 as the central players divide the central partnerships of the 4-4-2. Related to the Man City 4-0 win against Liverpool.

One of my favourite systems to use. The flexible 3-4-2-1 ⚽️⚫️🟡 ⚽️Stretch play in first phase with 3 CB’s ⚽️Natural wide players ⚽️4 man box in central midfield ⚽️Can go into a front 3 ⚽️CB can drive out with ball to overload wide area ⚽️tight lines ⚽️Back 5 when defending

‼️⚠️ — Davoo Xeneize.

1/2 | First 30–40 mins: Liverpool dealt well with City’s OOP approach. Apart from going long, the idea was to create and access wide pockets. Jones/Grav splits the CBs to overload City’s central two, while the wingers tuck in to overload the midfield.
