"Tactically, they might have got it a little wrong!" 👀 Ravi Shastri thinks either Nitish Kumar Reddy or Ravindra Jadeja should have taken the attack to England once the partnership had settled 🗣️

Totally agree with Shastri 👀 Once the partnership had settled, either Reddy or Jadeja should’ve shifted gears. Holding back too long gave England that extra sniff. Tactics matter in tight chases! 🧠

Spot on.
The turning/trigger points were the run out of Pant and Archer bowling him in the run chase

10,000%. Ravi Shastri is the only one who speaks the truth. DK & Bhogle are scared of saying it. Jadeja pushed his luck too far by scoring just a single every over after hitting that six.

This is what I was also saying. A loss is a loss. Does not matter if it is by 1 run, 10 run or 20 run. India should have showed approach and intent . Few shots and since score was very less to defend , it could have changed the strategy of England. We played as per plan of England and they were allowed to bowl at one player and this made their focus very simple. Nothing to take away from Jadeja, NKR, Bumrah and Siraj but coach and captain should have thought in that direction m. Early days for captain but he could have taken a clue that how Rohit Sharma would have approached this. Initial I thought Gambhir would be a big aggressor coach but it does not look so from his strategy and decision . He is old school thought. India was doing better with Rahul or Shashtri and at one point india should plan to bring someone else.

It's becoming hard for him to defend now

I totally agree with their point of view at some stage that some partnerships have developed. Indian players should have played attacking cricket, which enables them to remove pressure and helps India easily cross the line.

Yeh shastri ko bol khud khele halwa hai kya is pitch batsman se balla nahi pakda jara

Surely they were doing just fine until losing that wicket just before lunch?

We lost all the respect we had for Ravi Shastri, his commentary was so one sided wanting to see INDIA lose the match.
