We don’t have what was passed. “The official harmonised bills certified by the clerk, which the National Assembly sent to the President, we don’t have a copy to compare. Only the lawmakers can say authoritatively what was sent. “It should be the harmonised version certified by the clerk. Even me, I cannot say that I have it. I only have what was presented to Mr President to sign. “What was circulating and also widely reported by a lot of media organizations is actually fake.”

The National Guard are not being deployed against US Citizens. The Marines are not being deployed against US Citizens. They are there as security for those buildings. Those buildings are federal property. They are allowed to operate there. I don’t have 20 years to spare on this bill and its implementation! Just like The Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) that finally passed by the National Assembly in July 2021 and assented into law as the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021 (PIA) by the President Buhari on 16th August 2021. It took 20 years to pass this bill. Absolute nonsense!
