“Take the A Train” never gets old, especially when the Dave Brubeck Quartet is involved.

Sad regrets in my life. I never met Dave Brubeck, Thom Lehrer or William F Buckley.

The Dave Brubeck Quartet helped define the original use of the word “cool”. That rendition is so good.

Soothes the soul

Desmond was the all time alto king.

@kasstl1 …and in a similar vein, and a personal favourite from when I was a young boy…

A timeless classic 🖤

Morello keeping everything together as always. As cool as a 1968 Mustang GT driven by Steve McQueen.

Desmond's horn is so smooth.

@tourni310 Bonsoir Tourni, J'espère que vous ne souffrez pas trop de la chaleur. pour vous 🕊️🕯️

Just spun this on the turntable last night!

Loved Dave - a gentle man

I like the "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" quote about 1:10

Versión especial

Wow ❤️

@Kristine_Froeba Looks like Paul Finebaum and some guests decided to jam between interviews.

Paul Desmond’s tone was sublime…

とりわけ、ポール•デズモンドが吹いている時には🎷

❤️

Great start to the day...thanks!

these dudes dressed like middle aged accountants but fuck, could they play

Fantastic. So talented.

Accountants playing music

Interesting. Desmond's leg going in cut time...Brubeck leg in a calm straight four. The calming presence/foundation to it.

This group is everything wrong with late 50s jazz all in one package
