[RG911Team] They let the cat out of the bag. The FDNY Chief just admitted what really happens to steel skyscrapers when columns fail. And in doing so, he exposed the 9/11 narrative as an outright lie. Under no circumstances can a local column failure cause the complete collapse of a steel-framed, fire-resistant skyscraper. This could not happen to the Pfizer building in Manhattan a few days ago, and it could not happen to WTC Building 7 in Manhattan on September 11, 2001. A local failure causes local collapse, not global collapse, because the network of steel columns throughout the building prevents the failure from propagating to other structurally sound parts of the building. In other words, steel skyscrapers are not houses of cards. So, when NIST claimed that the failure of one column in Building 7 caused a cascade of failures that brought down the entire building on 9/11, they are violating the laws of physics. They know this. But for them, maintaining scientific integrity is not as important as covering up the truth. Great find by 911WarRoom

It was heartening to inaugurate Phase-1 of Singapore based #CapitaLand's International Tech Park in Chennai, today. Once other phases are completed, this 5 million sq ft facility can provide office space to 50,000 professionals. I am glad that the CapitaLand group, whom I met during my visit to Singapore earlier this year, has more investments planned for our Tamil Nadu. Over the past 2 years, numerous Global Capability Centres (GCCs) have chosen Tamil Nadu as their base, signaling an ongoing industrial revolution. This is just a glimpse of the exciting prospects awaiting us at the #GlobalInvestorsMeet in Chennai, January 2024. #TNGIM2024

Progressively Optimized Local Radiance Fields for Robust View Synthesis paper page: present an algorithm for reconstructing the radiance field of a large-scale scene from a single casually captured video. The task poses two core challenges. First, most existing radiance field reconstruction approaches rely on accurate pre-estimated camera poses from Structure-from-Motion algorithms, which frequently fail on in-the-wild videos. Second, using a single, global radiance field with finite representational capacity does not scale to longer trajectories in an unbounded scene. For handling unknown poses, we jointly estimate the camera poses with radiance field in a progressive manner. We show that progressive optimization significantly improves the robustness of the reconstruction. For handling large unbounded scenes, we dynamically allocate new local radiance fields trained with frames within a temporal window. This further improves robustness (e.g., performs well even under moderate pose drifts) and allows us to scale to large scenes. Our extensive evaluation on the Tanks and Temples dataset and our collected outdoor dataset, Static Hikes, show that our approach compares favorably with the state-of-the-art.

🚨 Wind is Not the Clean Energy it is Sold to be. Wind #energy has been sold to an unsuspecting public as a clean, renewable source of unending energy. But that isn't true. In fact, the building of an average wind industrial installation consumes vastly more CO2 producing raw materials per kwh than any other power source in use today. Ever wonder what really goes into building a wind turbine, its tower, and its foundation? This brief video does a great job of giving you the details, and they are neither pretty nor clean. Text: Compared with conventional technologies, wind power requires vastly more raw materials for the same installed capacity, up to 15 times more concrete, 90 times more aluminum, and around 50 times more iron, copper, and glass. Each two megawatt turbine uses about 1,700 tons of material, around 1,300 tons of concrete, nearly 300 tons of steel, plus iron, fiberglass, and copper. The foundation alone uses hundreds of tons of concretes. Concrete is one of the world's largest CO2 sources responsible for 8% of global emissions. Then there are the rare earths. Just one ton of rare earth elements generates 2,000 tons of toxic waste. Worse still, all of this ends up in landfill every 15 to 20 years, with the entire process repeated. Gadchiroli's Growth: Forged In Steel Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects of Lloyds Metals and Energy ltd. at Gadchiroli today, marking a significant step forward in the district’s journey of transformation. The dream of making Gadchiroli a steel hub is no longer just a vision, it’s now taking shape on the ground. Through green steel production, Gadchiroli is set to create steel that’s not only of higher quality than China’s, but also more affordable. Back in 2015–16, when mining first began here, the challenges were immense, Maoist threats and broken infrastructure. Yet, we stood firm. And today, the result is in front of us. Over 14,000 local youth are working with Lloyds, many of them women who started in housekeeping and now drive Volvo trucks, earning ₹55,000 a month. This is the true face of empowerment. With the integrated steel plant, 20,000 new job opportunities are on the way. And to prepare our youth for them, college has already been started under Gondwana University. A joint program with Curtin University in Australia is also active. Our focus is clear; progress, but with sustainability. An 80-km slurry pipeline, the first in Maharashtra and fourth in the country, has been set up to control pollution. Public transport is already gas-based and is transitioning to full electrification. The mission to plant 1 crore trees over the next 2 years has also taken off, with 40 lakh saplings being planted this year. This isn’t just about industry. Schools, hospitals, housing, and a stake for every worker, that’s our model of development. In the next 5 years, the district is set to be among Maharashtra’s top 10 in terms of per capita income, and in the years ahead, is poised to lead from the front. Today I had the honor of commissioning the newly rehabilitated tower lights in Cowdray Park, an initiative made possible by the Mthuli Ncube Foundation. I was joined by the Deputy Mayor of Bulawayo, Councillor Edwin Ndlovu, and Ward 28 Councillor Ntandoyenkosi Ndlovu. For too long, darkness in our community has meant limited economic activity and compromised safety, especially for women, children, and workers returning home late. Restoring these lights is therefore more than just infrastructure. It is about restoring dignity, enabling opportunity, and creating safer spaces for families to live and thrive. I remain committed to standing with the people of Cowdray Park to ensure a smart city as promised. Through the Foundation, we are also assisting in the construction and capacitation of a police station to help combat crime in the area. As we push forward toward Vision 2030 under the leadership of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, we will continue to support practical interventions that directly improve the lives of our citizens.
