"It's different for me because I am one of the older drivers now. So it's amazing to see the young drivers coming up. And I'm so proud of these young drivers, the weight in which they have to take on, particularly in the world that we're in now with the sport being as big as it is. I think they do such a great job to navigate." "And I mean, he's driving so well. Such a nice young lad. And I think he's got such a bright future. Being a driver in the past history and to start critizing another driver is never a pleasant thing. BUT #F1 is a cruel sport and I just want to tell the fact: you need two flat out drivers to be able to compare the data. Sergio hasn't been able to deliver this for Red Bull.

Grateful to Squawk Box Andrew Ross Sorkin for the conversation in New York last week. Two things I keep coming back to: On building. Opening our New York hub and bringing John Andrews on board is about one thing — assembling the best people for the next decade. Capital is a means. A great company is the goal. On hardware. The economy of autonomous AI agents is arriving fast. They will increasingly make decisions—and access private information—on our behalf. When they do, one thing becomes critical: control. We must control our keys. Consent must be human-verifiable, secured by hardware at the core. As AI agents begin to hold and move value autonomously, the question isn’t which cloud they run on. The question is: where is the private key, and who controls the device that holds it? Hardware-anchored security is shifting from a “nice to have” to the invisible infrastructure of the digital world. That’s the Revenge of the Atoms.

Getting started with Hardware Design is as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4... 1. Draw the circuit using building blocks. 2. Map the inputs and output to FPGA pins. 3. Verify and Build. 4. Upload to the board! And you can do pretty serious stuff with this. While we start with iCEStudio (visual blocks based design) we don't have to stick to that. We can just as well write hardware using HDL and fire the compiler etc ourselves. The LUT count on the FPGA is enough to deploy a tiny RISC-V based SoC! Yes! From the Basics of Digital Electronics to customizing a RISC-V based SoC - Soan Papdi is your companion on the journey! Lectures on the basics will be uploaded to YouTube. C Language is to be learnt by running experiments on Bare-metal (just the CPU) and without the OS noise! I added more lectures to the C Language course under the "Bitwise Operators" and the video (a snippet from the last lecture listed above) shows the level to which the course is hands-on. I pretty much prove all the claims I make about the concepts by experiments! Lectures I added include - + What are bitwise operations and the types + Shift Operations - Left, Logical and Arithmetic Right + The Bitwise NOT operation + Understanding using printf + Understanding the Assembly View + Exploring the Shift operations + Assembly view of Shift operation I have been recording this course for over a year now, 91 Lectures (almost all with hands on experiments) and we are far from concluding it. I'll continue to add more... If learning by experimenting (and reasoning from first principles) is your thing, you will love this course. This is included as part of the library access and you can check the current table on contents here:

The Livonia Police Department used a Grappler device to bring a stolen vehicle to a safe and controlled stop as it traveled westbound through the city. The driver repeatedly attempted to break free by reversing and then accelerating forward. However, the Grappler held firm, and the vehicle’s rear axle was ripped off -- permanently disabling the car. The driver and two passengers were all arrested and taken into custody without further incident.

Make Commercial Trucks Manual Again. The harder a truck is to operate, the harder it is to fake being a truck driver. Newest theft is the Red Bull truck stolen in FL. Last month it was a tanker of bleach in LA. Eight months ago it was another tanker in LA. In one generation, we took Class 8 trucks from two sticks, to one stick, to “push D and go.” Years ago, a truck driver had to actually understand the truck. RPMs. Torque. Grades. Clutch control. Downshifting. Engine braking. Momentum. Transmission speed. Engine speed. What the truck was telling you through the seat, the pedals, and the shifter. Now the truck shifts itself. The computer does the thinking. The driver pool got bigger because the mechanical barrier got smaller. There is a difference between a driver who can operate the machine and a driver who can only aim it. Manuals were and to this day remain the biggest anti-theft device for commercial trucks.
