@Tanni_GT Dear @Tanni_GT you are so right: parents desperately trying to sort out what will happen to kids when they are no longer around. We are talking many adults with learning difficulties, physically disabled or in other ways not capable of dealing with this terrible pressure.

@Tanni_GT I have two adult children with autism and this is my biggest fear. You only have to look at what’s happening in Canada right now. Once you go down the “assisted suicide” root, where does it end? 💔

@Tanni_GT We parents, love with the fear of leaving our loved ones behind. With this Bill our fear is while we're still alive our loved ones will be forcibly taken from us, or if in a care setting, murdered and we won't be told till after the fact. This Bill is abhorrent.

@AllisonPearson @Tanni_GT Yes 100%. We have a young man in the family who needs support. We were already concerned what would happen once we have gone, it was unbearable to think about. Now this which has just sent our anxiety through the roof. Evil, just evil.

@Tanni_GT Unfortunately, I think we all know the answer to this if assisted suicide is allowed to pass without rigorous safeguards put into law!

@Tanni_GT I spend part of the year in a small community in Italy. There is a couple of ppl there w cognitive impairment who successfully live alone or w support. They look after themselves & contribute to the community. Similarly some very elderly ppl. It doesn’t need to take much.

@Tanni_GT I know that the biggest fear for my Down Syndrome brother was what would happen to him when my parents died. This bill is truly devastating for families with any kind of disability.

@Tanni_GT A tremendous young woman with down syndrome is currently a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, meanwhile a circus of ghouls are discussing whether or not disabled people are worthy of support to live their lives.

@Tanni_GT Absolutely. Those with Down’s syndrome live far longer & healthier lives thanks to heart medication particularly. I know one lady who is now 64 & is doing very well.

@Tanni_GT This proposed law is abhorrent Leadbeater et Al are being fundamentally dishonest in saying the vulnerable will be safe with this ghastly law

@Tanni_GT This is nothing new , parents had these same fears pre assisted dying bill being passed. social care services on their knees, attacks on welfare & motobility scheme are a far higher risk to that young man & others with LD this lady is talking about, focus on changing that

@Tanni_GT My cousin went to hospital with a chest infection and instead of treating her they put her on end of life without telling family or next of kin and she died. She wasn't even on any regular daily medication but she did live in a home
