Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said federal officials’ narrative that the ICE agent who shot and killed a woman in south Minneapolis Wednesday morning acted in self-defense is “bull***t.” “This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying — getting killed,” Frey said. He later added, “What I can tell you is the narrative that this was just done in self-defense is a garbage narrative. That is not true. It has no truth.”

In a press conference in Houston today, legal representation for witnesses pushed back hard against federal claims regarding the recent fatal ICE-involved shooting in Houston. The attorney accused the agency of attempting a "cover-up," stating his clients' accounts directly contradict official reports that the vehicle was weaponized against agents.

Tim Pool is right in his analysis. The officer was NOT in front of her vehicle until AFTER she backed up. The front tires then accelerate while they are pointed towards the agent, and appear to spin out on the ICE. This is all the information the ICE agent had in the moment. Also, there was no reason for her to back up to leave. The road was clear in front of her and the ICE agents were to the left and right of her car. The ICE agent only ended up in front because she backed up. This leads me to believe she wasn’t just trying to leave. Chat - what do you think?
