Honestly, the fact he actually went and got it in order to try reading it shows he has a mind open to learning and humble enough to take the advice/suggestions of others

Give the dude a lot of credit for actually tracking it down, at a library, not Amazon or some other point and click avenue. And, he attempts to read the material, or at least a small section before saying “wtf.” He needs a tutor on this - could open up some pathways, maybe.

Don't start with Nietzsche. I made that mistake. Then I went with Schopenhauer. Yet another mistake. Then I went with the Greeks (Epictetus and Socrates) and everything was fine. Give your greek bros a read. Leave the germanic cunts for later.

TBF Nietzsche is notoriously opaque to read. You kind of have to go in knowing he's just going to state things as though they are fact and keep on moving.
