Honestly, the fact he actually went and got it in order to try reading it shows he has a mind open to learning and humble enough to take the advice/suggestions of others

I appreciate that he did try. Neitzsche is rather hard to read so I can't blame him.

Got like 3 pages into Zarathustra and said the exact same thing lol. Realized I got to go back to Greece then work my way up before it makes any resemblance of sense to me

He’s smarter than most. He’s smart enough to realize there’s certain literature he cannot comprehend.

He’s not wrong. Most shouldn’t bother reading, and far fewer should read Nietzsche.

Give the dude a lot of credit for actually tracking it down, at a library, not Amazon or some other point and click avenue. And, he attempts to read the material, or at least a small section before saying “wtf.” He needs a tutor on this - could open up some pathways, maybe.

Don't start with Nietzsche. I made that mistake. Then I went with Schopenhauer. Yet another mistake. Then I went with the Greeks (Epictetus and Socrates) and everything was fine. Give your greek bros a read. Leave the germanic cunts for later.

TBF Nietzsche is notoriously opaque to read. You kind of have to go in knowing he's just going to state things as though they are fact and keep on moving.

Don't recommend reading. When you read, you know stuff. Then when you get fed bullshit, you know it's bullshit. Then when you call it what it is you get cancelled.

Anyone making fun of him is stupid. He picked up the worst possible translation of Nietzsche. It’s the public domain version written in Victorian style English

I get the impression he is actually smart enough to understand but he has no base for understanding. Its not a beginner book. He should be applauded for starting it.
