It’s only for a short while, they will be busy again once South Africans are employed in the positions of foreigners 😭😭😭

😂😁 Can't wait

Maybe they will start respecting their fellow South Africans and the rule of law now.

Lol even if they could kneel to you they won't get passengers phela you are unemployed

Taxis overcrowding, roadworthiness, road use safety and police stops has been the largest reasons for people not getting to work on time & plenty lost their work that way. They are also now threatening other ehale business & ordinary road users like that is normal.

Over crowding of taxis means more jobs isn't?

It means there are people that are not suppose to be there & South Africans do not need to get up at 4am to get a taxi that is empty to ensure they still have a job. You see how far it goes when we say it is time for your people to get the message.

Taxis are always there and people wake up at the time they must wake up. But now drivers will lose jobs

Now owners need to sort out the underlying issues such as getting decent roadworthy taxis, proper paperwork for them with well trained SAn drivers to operate for them. They are getting hard earned money from patrons that does not even get respected when using their service.

How will that give them passengers?

So we must condone illegality because of taxis? Emang nyana

You must find a way to make it work without affecting the economy and businesses

@neo_19801 Lol like we need to allow drug dealers to say drugs without anyone dying right?

@neo_19801 You are talking about something different, a crime need to be dealt with obviously

@Magacew1 Also being in another country illegally is also crime that must be dealt with moes

@Magacew1 Not by violence and riots but by law by the way soon Zimbabwean people will get their full permits because their brother minister of home affairs took home affairs to zim

@Magacew1 If the government and law enforcement agencies don’t do their jobs must we fold our arms?

@Magacew1 We will have to put pressure on them obviously to do what they are elected for and employed for. I obviously don’t condone violence

The taxi industry's problems are not caused by illegal immigrants leaving. They refuse to innovate, expand into buses or seriously compete with e-hailing services. If they're struggling, it's because of how they choose to run their business and rule with guns

You are simply arguing against the facts; they are currently affected by these riots and the targeting of foreigners

You’re defending undocumented migrants getting into taxis for profit. That’s not how a country is run. Same taxi industry often doesn’t even pay tax.

@MAT_DA_ Well I’m happy because you people will start stealing from each other.

@MAT_DA_ There’s no stealing between people here. The issue is government and tax authorities not properly enforcing the law in the industry and undocumented emigrants, Two different problems, same lack of enforcement.

@ThatttNiceguy @MAT_DA_ Yo’ll slaughtered LUCKY DUBE your biggest Reggae Star thinking he’s Nigerian. The so called foreigners are living, killing yourselves is eminent and the white man will definitely reactive apartheid and enslave your lazy ass from generation to generation.

@ThatttNiceguy @MAT_DA_ We don’t care, we accept we are lazy ,xenophobic, hiv and colonized

South Africans are not working they do not go to work so bathi asiyephi ngamatekisi besidakelwa

But in KZN you chased those who were taking your jobs so you must replace them

@Sbudamoore J's here waiting for the response!

@Sbudamoore Lol forget it

And I love it Taxi industry is holding this country back This country deserves public buses and trains as public transport system that’s effective South Africans prefer e-hailing over your shit service

Hahahahaha let them learn to be humbe. is all well

Lol it is not about their attitude

It’s that also the arrogance been getting too much

Unemployed South Africans had to bear for years. Taxi industry must stop being selfish and bear for a little while as the country resets

You will pay for those cars?

The owners will pay. For now they must be patient or join to speed up process

Owners will pay without income?

They don't pay tax 😭😭

More people = more money. Drive foreigners out, then cry when Shoprite and Checkers start cutting jobs. Economics doesn’t care about your anger. Empty shops, empty pockets

Happening

Say 1M Zimbabweans leave, not counting kids. That’s 1M fewer trolleys, baskets, receipts at Shoprite, Checkers and Pick and pay Businesses don’t survive on patriotism. They survive on customers, people will learn the hard way

@busisiwe_MD It’s 2026, go do farming or something….. venture in our business opportunities.

@busisiwe_MD Show me your farm and the revenue

@busisiwe_MD I don’t have a failing business.

@busisiwe_MD You can't ask people to leave their business and venture in to another as if it is that easy

Clean that place, otherwise I feel nothing for the taxi industry, serves y'all right ❤️🙏

Wena I thought ungalile lana😂😂 niyangibulala yaz

We don't care

One taxi owner in Randburg said yesterday that they will protect anyone,no one will touch people in Gauteng

They must do that to protect their business

True

It is surprising for people to want south africa to be a lawless country with illegal immigrants roaming its streets just because we need to make money. That thinking will make us the most foolish citizens.

No one says there must be illegal foreigners, we must find a way that will not affect our businesses and economy though

@calvinmaila1 But you are. What are you defending now? Must we stop and focus on the taxi industry? While unemployment is high in SA? Who must we prioritise them or the future of the country? Change can never happen in one day.

@MAT_DA_ Bye bye Cinderella iam out.

Taxi 🚕 owners don’t joke , this ones will soon go bom🧨b🏧 ATMs soon across South Africa 🇿🇦 to feed their Families. Crime is about to shoot Up📈: @GovernmentZA Yoooooh..!!

@GovernmentZA Lol they can't see it, crime will be more

@OraclesTweet @GovernmentZA So now a country must be flooded by illegal immigrants because taxi industry is suffering 🤔

So now because a person is an illegal immigrant they must be flogged, killed, and dehumanized like a Goat🐐?🤔 Or it’s because their skin is Black, they’re Black Africans you can treat them less as humans? You’re own skin. You Loot their businesses, burn 🔥 their stores, 🏬, you invade their homes, beat them up, kill them. South Africans You did this to your own skin. Are we still in Slave Trade Era? This is Afrophobia simple.

this is good even uber drivers are feeling the pintch

Why are you saying is good🙆

@OlengOzhe We need more local drivers.

@MAT_DA_ so illegal foreigners are driving taxis nah?

Khululekani, aninodwa. Taxis have always been there in our community. Problem one owner wants to have 20taxis eyedwa.

Musani ukcabanga ngezisu eventually South Africans will be back in those places and you guys will operate lezinto eseniqala ukuzenza ziyacika always complaining without seeing the bigger picture bengakafiki labantu nanipakile yini ? Ngoba we kept you guys in business ?

We did mention small black businesses will suffer cash flow. That will include spazas and tarvens. They responded saying south africans will be customers.

They will see it soon but I don't think they care

🤣🤣 trying to recruit taxi associations into EFF's little corner

So you think taxi drivers have time for this app mxm

Serves them right those bullies

Sell two taxis and open a supermarket or a salon. There's plenty of space in town

If that was easy you would have opened a business in town nawe

So we must harbour criminals for taxi industry

Today people celebrate. Tomorrow landlords lose tenants, businesses lose customers, taxi owners miss payments and banks start repossessions. For every action, there's a reaction. The bill always arrives later.

Exactly what will happen

People fear change, don’t worry it will all work out at the end. Bona k’mele ba hambile 🔥

A change must happen they must charge you double

Change does need some getting used to. You can’t want change and still expect things to remain the same. They will suffer for now but they will benefit in the long run. It’s normal with change.

What will make them benefit?

@AbubakarMgijima If more South Africans get employed and use taxis to work

@AbubakarMgijima Who will employ them?

@Shibishi_Mag Every business Will encounter a time when they either die or adapt. There is nothing special with taxi industry. They will have to adapt or move aside. Covid 19 came and people worked from home and now working from home is the new thing 🤷🏽♂️. ADAPT

@Shibishi_Mag Multichoice didn’t act in time and they facing death. It happens to all industries. Taxi industry will face an opportunity too to adapt or die. We wish them all the best.

To show that South Africans are unemployed

Too many taxis on the streets, they think azogitshelwa ubani? You find 500 taxi owners in one township, each having 50+ taxis. Mxm, they brought that to themselves. More Supply and less Demand, it's not about foreigners. That's why you find them harrassing motorist on the street.

Those are the people who are hired all over Gauteng, their business will come back as as people are replaced

This taxi they were happy to see the citizens not going work, all this time, because foreigners supporting them . 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Because South Africans are loitering in townships as they don’t have jobs. Soon taxi business will be back commuting South Africans and people who are in SA legally

They're useless foreigners sell drugs at the rank in their presence

It will hit many other sectors of the economy too. There is a massive ripple effect. PnP has to scale down, PEP, Game etc.....the rental property market will be hit too. Let's watch and see.

They can't even see it

@Masenkeng Aba clean rank labo
