From this interview with @StevenBartlett and @DanielPriestley:

Absolute nonsense. - Inflation is because the Bank of England prints money, - low growth and opportunity are due to taxes being too high and pissed away by the government You want to give our government more money to piss away!!! Retard 🤡

Taxing the rich more is like trying to catch smoke with a fishing net unless every major economy does it simultaneously. Otherwise, they'll just shift their money, evade the tax, and enjoy themselves on a beach in the Caymans. It's global enforcement or it’s just theatre.

Gary, you do know that you can voluntarily give as much money as you want to the Treasury. I assume you know and have been doing so as you are clearly a fountain of knowledge.

yeah, because chasing out 10,000 millionaires and watching businesses shut faster than they’re opening is definitely the sign we need more tax. Brilliant plan, kill the golden goose, then wonder where the eggs went

Here you go: the real reasons for the cost of living crisis. People are poor because QE created unprecedented asset inflation, including housing, and the economy stagnated, so their real income fell off a cliff. The solution is to deal with those issues.

Why do we always jump to “tax the rich” and not actually ask where and how all the tax that’s already paid goes to and managed? It may not be that we are underfunded, it may be that there is so much waste and bloat that critical services and infrastructure aren’t getting the resources needed. Lets answer those questions first then we can see about what is a ‘fair’ amount of tax to be paid

The MOST economically illiterate man in the UK.

When a country is trillions in debt and taxes everyone heavily, collecting a few 10s of billions in more taxes isn't going to change anything.

This last year+ has been a dream. I meet with business owners daily to look for financial solutions. We help them: 1. Optimize their cash flow 2. Create more profit 3. Pay less taxes But more than anything, we’re a strategic partner and coach. Someone they turn to when they don’t know the answer. When the times get tough. I’ve had more than one business owner tell me they’re sleeping better, more present when with family, and feel like they’re finally in control of their business (instead of it controlling them). I can’t imagine anything more rewarding. For people watching from the sidelines, it seems like an overnight success. But in reality, it came after a 15+ year career of day-in and day-out partnering with my CEOs as a full-time CFO. Now instead of building one business at a time, I get to help many at the same time! Today, I’m headed to meet with a group of other business owners to learn and grow together. I am truly living the dream!

If you taxed all of Elon Musk’s wealth at 100% (£157b), it would fund the UK govt for about 50 days
