A group of police men raided the homes of over 150 people yesterday in kunchigoro in area 1, arrested all of them, men and women. Some were dragged out of their beds, some from the bathrooms, some people playing football on their turf, bundled all of them and took to Guzape abattoir station. They’ve refused them access to lawyers, and even their families, unless their families pay between 1K - 3K to them before they can see them. Now they want to charge them to court? Haba! What are their crimes first? Why is the Nigerian police like this? No rule of law, nothing!

An overlooked dimension in Syria’s analysis is personal and emotional for the rebels: the longing for home and family reunification. In this multilayered event, the uprising of the displaced is clear. Since the offensive began, Syrian timelines are filled with videos of families reuniting, tears, collapses, and overwhelming emotions. Many of the fighters I have seen in videos are from displaced communities, separated from their homes and families for over a decade and fighting to go back to their towns. In this video, a rebel leader from Hama, prepping fighters from Homs to fight for their city: “Like I was happy to meet my family today (voice shaking), each of you will see your mother.” This motivation is a real one: “everyone of you will see his mother...” This is by no means the full picture or the only motivation. It's only a single aspect of it, but it’s a crucial one that deserves to be highlighted on its own to build the complex big picture of what's happening. I don’t know if it’s courage, a desperate hope, a fight for justice, or simply the struggle to survive, but what I do know is that it’s painful. Painful even to witness. Watching your own people like this,broken, silenced, grieving, shakes something deep inside you. It compels you to speak out, to risk your career, and to stand up for justice when silence is no longer an option. Baloch mothers and sisters carry the weight of generational grief. And it is the state that has burdened them with this pain. The families protesting in Islamabad are being punished not for any crime, but for refusing to give up. For still daring to hope. Their lives have been shattered. Justice denied in courtrooms. Dreams torn apart. Every breath is a battle for dignity. The few who dared to speak for them have been thrown behind bars. Their families are being targeted. Harassment and intimidation are at their peak. Yet they still came to Islamabad….to protest, to resist, to be seen. And what did they face? Threats. Silence. Yesterday it was father's day, and I would like to share this post, that I find very moving: "Father’s Day in Ukraine is a day of pain and pride. It’s a holiday that should be about hugs, children’s laughter, and joyful family photos. But for thousands of Ukrainian families, it’s a day when a lump sits in the throat and eyes are full of tears. Those we call “Dad” are not at home today. Some are in captivity. Some are listed as missing. Some remained forever on the battlefield, having given their lives for their children and our land. And some still hold the line… There are also those who cannot say that word. Children stolen by Russia from Ukraine, their childhoods broken, stripped of ties with their loved ones. Children who are not allowed to remember their parents. It’s a day when every corner of the country carries a different pain, a different devastation. But also immense strength. They were stolen by Russia — taken from their families, their homes, and their homeland. Today, we launch the international Easter campaign #ChildrenAreNonNegotiable to remind the world that there can be no just and lasting peace without the return of every Ukrainian child. The sweater in this video is more than just clothing — it’s a symbol. A symbol of the children who were abducted and of our commitment to bring them back. Across the world, hundreds of leaders, public figures, and celebrities are posting photos in this sweater to say one thing loud and clear: the fate of Ukrainian children is not up for negotiation. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has carried out a systematic campaign to erase Ukrainian identity by abducting children, placing them in Russian families, and brainwashing them into becoming something they are not. It is a war crime — recognized as such by the International Criminal Court, which has issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova. These children have been used as weapons — to weaken Ukraine and threaten the security of Europe. But we will not allow this to be their fate. To everyone joining this campaign: thank you. 12 Angels of Majdal Shams 👼 Of all the things I've done in my professional life, few experiences, if any, have been as deeply meaningful, inspiring or profoundly moving as this. At the initiative of my incredible friend ERIC RUBIN אריק 🟦 🎗️ and the amazing organizations Athletes for Israel (AFI) 🟦 & Project Max that he leads, this week I had the opportunity to join two NFL legends and Hall of Famers, Nick Lowery and Tony Richardson(T Rich), in a visit to Majdal Shams, in northern Israel. In July last year, Hezbollah terrorists fired a missile, murdering 12 beautiful kids who were just playing football here. A moment that has been seared into our collective memories and heartache. We went to the site of this horrific attack and heard first-hand from the families of the children who were killed, and the indescribable devastation they suffered, as well as their herculean resilience, hope and even prayers for peace. To see these NFL legends, hardened men, who played football their entire careers in one of the toughest sports there is, brought to tears (as was I mind you), was incredibly powerful. These NFL champions, who are also super mensches by the way, also played some football with the kids in the community - at the site of the rebuilt stadium - and spent time signing autographs and handing out gifts. It was the first visit of its kind, of professional athletes, to this community. It was truly inspiring beyond words to see the smiles on these kids faces, and their parents. The moment of happiness and joy was just priceless. They also spoke about long-term projects to support this special community! This was not, like for many others, just a one-off PR visit, and then abandoning them. This is the beginning of a legitimate long-term partnership (more on that to come). We must never forget what happened and do everything possible to support and help these children, their families and the community rebuild! During their trip by the way, the NFL champions also spoke with hostage families, visited the south of Israel and spent time with Lone Soldiers. None of this would have been possible were it not for the vision, initiative and indefatigable effort of Eric Rubin, someone I am proud beyond words to know, and who is single-handedly revolutionizing using sport and athletes to support Israel, combat antisemitism and draw attention to the plight of our hostages. The State of Israel and the Jewish people are absolutely blessed to have him! As for me ... well, I'm just lucky these beautiful little kids at Majdal Shams let me have a goal at the end!
