"It's going to start data-centers out in space. Of course, in space there's no conduction, no convection, there's just radiation, so we have to figure out how to cool these systems out in space, but we got lots of great engineers working on it."

Starcloud (starcloud_inc1) recently made history by launching a satellite with an NVIDIA H100 into orbit — the first time a GPU that powerful has ever operated in space. It's the first step toward building AI data centers in orbit, powered by continuous sunlight and cooled by radiating heat into deep space. There’s a data center derangement syndrome catching on right now. It’s fair to have concerns, but the fact 50% opposed a nuclear power plant versus 75% who opposed data centers shows something else is going on. There are natural concerns (some premised on misinformation like the fact that golf courses consume 20–30× more water than data centers), and some of it is being amplified by China. Full clip for all the details.
