Had a fantastic time participating as part of the CEOs council joining the PM Narendra Modi ji on his trip to France. India is now the world leader for electric 2W technology and products. From battery tech to esp Software and charging standards - India will be one of the largest exporters of EV 2/3 wheeler tech in the world. We are presented with a fantastic opportunity Ather Energy to bring this tech+products combo to the European markets and new age Indian companies will be able to make the most of it! It was particularly refreshing to see so many new Indian startups in the cohort this time!

REPORT: UK government officials are now drafting a law that would jail tech executives for up to FIVE YEARS if they refuse to build scanners that inspect EVERY photo, video, and message on your phone. Think about that. The claim is keeping children “safe.” But beneath the surface, this has all the hallmarks of a cover story for expanding surveillance. The proposal would force Apple, Google, and other tech giants to make it impossible for a child to send, receive, view, or share a single nude image, with executives who refuse facing up to five years in prison. The children are the headline; surveillance is the product. The new technology to accomplish this is called “client-side scanning.” Watch the video below to see how it works. This threat to jail Big Tech CEOs seems to be a bit of a farce because, let’s be honest, government and Big Tech are best friends. The threat of prison simply gives Big Tech an excuse to say, “Well, we have to comply. This is Siemens SGT 400 gas turbine. It can produce up to 12mw of power. Power that is essential to live - a human right basically. Look at it. It costs several million dollars. This is the tax developing world pays to Germany. What is in this thing that it can't be manufactured locally ? Ask yourself. Why is it so hard to replicate ? Is it always going to be like this ? We are in 2020s now. How about 2030 ? Do you think this will be manufactured locally in 2030 ? I don't think so. Software Tech is easily replicable due to the culture of open source. Manufacturing has no culture of open source. For right or wrong reasons. So even after 100 years of inventing this, most of of the world is still trying to figure out how to replicate this. And I think it will take 100 more years at this pace. Also, 2 decades of our smartest building ad software has resulted in this tech not moving forward. Everything in core hard tech is imported - turbines, machinery, electronics - you name it. So young smart people seeing this - please go and design this and make this cheaper. It's not just about India. The entire developing world needs this cheaply.
