Technical ability was a joke

If Havertz was half this good, we would be walking the league LMAO

Physically pains me watching him but he was so good

Just imagined Gyokeres doing this and passed out laughing 😂

His playmaking was better than Odegaard. Persie is a complete attacker

Sad part is, if this has been lost, it was lost 10-20 years ago. These players were crafted in the late 80’s, early 90’s. The new players have been under an “athleticism-first” mindset for a while now

A couple of those Gervinho misses have floored me

@ardekoyah Val Persie, he sabi ball like mad

These new cats really tried to tell me Havertz was better than RVP The level of quality is worlds apart 😭😭

Van Persie was never a snake. he just wanted to win. He was a baller. A true "cage" / "streets" footballer. The game has moved on. Defenders are better he probably wouldnt get as much space any more. But some great memories there. Personal fav is goal vs Charlton

Most of these are from one season as well man 😮💨

4 touches to set this up from that position 😂 there's not a single current player that could do that

That was post the best era. But it was still better than today. By a mile.

Man almost pulled a Cantona on his weak foot

Havertz would literally *** attempting any of the plays seen here

He can play in Arsenal’s current midfield. He was technically good

Van persie was one of the players that made me love this club .. such a shame we can't fully claim him as ours .. that's why it doesn't matter how good you're playing.. if you don't win trophies you will eventually leave

Arsenal van persie was one of the scariest players to face lol

Someone said “back then, players had to be perfect or near perfect for them to even get a glimpse of recognition but nowadays,a little bit of workrate gets you GOAT shouts” and that makes a lot of sense.

@AdilLFC_ This is funny to watch because strikers nowadays look like fishes out of water when they try to drop deep. He does it effortlessly

This is literally Mason Greenwood

Before football started to pick athleticism over genuine footballing talent. Sad to see

The craziest thing about him is that all his actions (dribbling, ball striking etc) look so crisp and graceful. You don’t see that often with players his height. Especially not ones playing 9.

This van persie could make Arsenal win the UCL with the current team. He is 100x the player gyokeres is

Robin Van Persie my first heartbreak😭

Absolute joy to watch this again and see the level. That turn and attempted chip was an absolute joke

The fact that Van persie is more of a United legend than an Arsenal Legend is wild, Arsenal fans must hate this, I remember the melt down when we signed him and he left Arsenal 🤣

jogava nada @debateydebate

Van Persie was basically Henry. Top striker who was also a playmaker.

Arteta will will convert him to LB

RvP IS ONE OF THE BEST STRIKERS EVER FOR SURE!

The team of RVP, Nasri, Fabregas, Arshavin, Walcott, Vermaelen, Sagna, Clichy and co. had so much potential at the time, but the club surrounded them with a squad that were just not on the same level. So they mostly left, imagine all that talent and Almunia is the keeper🤡

Insane that he was able to dribble like this even after all his knee injuries. Imagine if he had still had the same ball striking and dribble ability... arguably a top 3 striker OAT

Insane catalogue

I remember back in the day when players only needed one or two passes then they were at the final third. Now it takes 30-40 passes just to get to opponents penalty box
