Their report said there was a “pattern indicative of sexual violence” during the attacks, including cases of rape and sexual assault both at attack sites and in captivity. The Israeli Association of Rape Crisis Centers reached the same conclusion after collecting testimonies from professionals who handled the bodies and from survivors. Their report described “systematic, targeted sexual abuse” during the assault. None of these investigations say “there was no rape.” They all say sexual violence happened, even if the total number of cases is still unknown because many victims were killed.
