Not being funny but why can't they just go back to a engine / fuel and design none of these fancy stupidly expensive gadgets.there on about saving money etc and the things they have to design test construct these days is just stupid.

I think the point was to show that by spinning a motor backwards it can turn into a generator. Love Ted, but didn't quite actually achieve that goal. He did show that spinning generator makes elec though, but fairly sure people knew that. Oh well. 😀 ....Next to the cheese.
