Vision IAS Delhi Students Deserve Clarity. No student should have to prepare for UPSC with fear, confusion and uncertainty. Also, No institute should have to go through such a phase. Students have paid their fees, trusted the institute and planned their preparation around its classes, teachers, test series and study material. They are not asking for too much. They only want to know what is happening and what will happen next. This is not the time for silence. The Director, the management and the senior faculty should come together on one stage and speak directly to the students. They should clearly explain whether classes will continue, which faculty members will remain, how pending courses will be completed and what support will be given to enrolled students. Even if there are problems, students can understand them. What they cannot handle is being left without answers. At this point, assurance matters. A clear and honest interaction can reduce rumours, rebuild confidence and help students focus again on their preparation. One of the things we discussed is the campaign’s patterns in various parts of Nigeria I also talked about how the surulere government hid under the Lagos signage agency to single me out to take down about 50 of my banners, even the ones that were at wooden structures of the street while leaving their own candidates banner beside me in surulere 1 Anyways I heard they want to frustrate me financially because I invested a lot of monies from my sweat and hard Labour to do this. Anyways Good governance and empathy towards the people is not in banners! Students are struggling to go to class in the morning and in the evenings to even get back to their hostels. Students staying off campus now spend almost double to get to campus, all alternative transport means have been removed The management have cars to bypass all of this, but majority of students do not. Yet they released statements talking about how the buses will “ease transportation” and even implied students appreciate the system. Meanwhile, students are trekking, missing classes, and spending hours in queues. Let it be clear that students do not appreciate this system. It has made our lives harder, not better. What used to be a smooth system has now become a daily struggle. There are many pressing issues in this school, but they chose to dismantle a working transport system and replace it with hardship. We can no longer remain silent. Let the whole world know what OAU students are going through. Hence we end up with the BBC reporting on the enslavement of Afghan girls as if it were a cultural quirk. ‘There is a tradition [in Afghanistan]’, it breezily tells us, ‘in which a marital gift is given to the family of the girl from the family of the boy during marriage’. The euphemisms are suffocating. ‘Marital gift’ - you mean cash for girls? As for ‘boy’ - come on, BBC, you know those girls aren’t marrying boys. You know it is seen as acceptable in Islam for very young girls to get hitched to men. They must know - surely? - that it is bad.
