𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐃! 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐉𝐄𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒 & 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐒! 🇮🇳 Why is the government turning GOLD into India’s newest economic villain? If a law-abiding citizen pays their honest taxes, they have the fundamental right to spend their post-tax money as they choose. The government has no business dictating that! Here are the HARD FACTS the narrative conveniently hides: 1️⃣ 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐗 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐄: Gold isn't a drain; it's a cash cow for the treasury! The Centre collects billions in Customs Duty, 5% Agriculture Infrastructure Cess (AIDC), 3% GST on gold purchases, and 5% GST on making charges. 2️⃣ 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄: Gems & Jewelry is India’s 3rd largest export sector (behind only petroleum & engineering). In FY 2025–26, the sector brought in a staggering $22.72 Billion, with Gold Jewelry alone generating $11.36 Billion in foreign exchange! 3️⃣ 𝟔 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐉𝐎𝐁𝐒 & 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬: Powered by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), this industry provides livelihoods to 50 to 60 Lakh (5–6 Million) skilled Indian artisans and workers. 4️⃣ 𝟕% 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐀'𝐒 𝐆𝐃𝐏: The gold and jewelry sector directly contributes 7% to India’s total GDP! 💥 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐌? Gold itself is not the problem : corruption is! Corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, and judges convert illegal cash into gold. For eg ₹1.5 Crore of gold easily fits in a coat pocket versus ₹1.5 crore of cash, which is difficult to store or move around. The government needs to clamp down on illicit cash transactions by corrupt elites, NOT harass common citizens, honest jewelers, and hardworking artisans! Stop villainizing gold. It’s time to support, celebrate, and SALUTE India’s gold entrepreneurs, jewelers, and artisans who build this nation! Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! 🇮🇳 #GoldIndustry #JewelersOfIndia #IndianEconomy #TehseenPoonawalla #TEAMBHARAT #GemsAndJewelry #MakeInIndia #SupportIndianJewelers
