Tell me an MLB record that will never be broken. Please contribute. I'll start. Fernando Tatís Sr. hit two grand slams... ...against the same pitcher... in the same inning. 😮

The odds of everything lining up for Tatis perfectly are astronomical 2 HR in an inning still takes a lot of situational help but is still all on the players, converting that to 2 grand slams the situation has to be perfect through 12 ABs + other pitcher didn’t get pulled

Because of late inning reliever matchups I don't think DiMaggio's hitting streak will be broken. Don't think anyone will get to half of Ripken's games played streak. Ricky Henderson stolen bases of 1406. Steals don't have value like they did before Homeruns. If you can't reach half of a record then it should be considered unbreakable.

Johnny VanderMeer …. 2 consecutive no hitters

Cal Ripken consecutive games streak

Cy Young 511 wins. Nobody ever gets within 100, maybe 150 of that.

In the 1977 World Series, Reggie Jackson hit 4 HR on 4 consecutive swings. He hit a HR in his final at bat in game 5, walked on 4 pitches in his first at bat in game 6, then hit the first pitch for a HR in his next three AB. It will never happen again.

Barry bonds 120 intentional walks in a season

Even more shocking is that I was in attendance at that game as a 7 yr old. I remember that game being over and pouting about a Dodger L. Only my dad knew the historical significance.
