The most realistic duel in all of Star Wars, leans heavily into the samurai & kendo duels George Lucas got the inspiration from lightsaber combat from. Plus each of the characters movements shows both of their growths as characters over the 30 year long rivalry

I always loved how this duel only lasted 2 seconds. There's this tension in the air, they are age old enemies who had such an intense battle so long ago, "how is it going to go?" But it's real, it's fast, it's grim, and there's nothing flashy or exciting about it. It's perfect

I love Kenobis trick there From his clone wars stance to his Ben Kenobi stance to Qui Gon’s stance, causing Maul to attack like he attacked Qui Gon, and allowing Kenobi to cut him down easily

This was such a great end to Maul’s story.

This duel let me down on so many levels I was so hyped thoguht we were gonna see dual of fates part two but it was this instead good dialogue but man lame duel

I love how Obi Wan doesnt hold any resentment, after he hitted the final blow he catch and talk with him, bro was really a true Jedi

He…will…avenge us 💔

Made zero sense why he died here.

Fun fact. Obi-Wan switches stance from his usual stance to the same stance Qui-Gon Jinn uses before the forcefield turns off right before being killed by Maul. He does this to trick Maul into thinking Obi-Wan is about to use a different fencing form.

I like when Maul says "someone" Kenobi immediately ignites his lightsaber. He realised that Maul HAD to die right here, right now or else everything would be for nothing. This is a not a man ready for a fight, it's a man making the conscious decision to kill Maul.
