Every goal I told people about died in the announcement. The dopamine hit of saying it out loud felt like progress, so I stopped working. The stuff I built quietly actually shipped. Hill was right and it's annoying.

Napoleon Hill was a fraud and con man. He never met Andrew Carnegie. His history is filled with fraud and theft. He even started a cult, and adopted a young girl into it while telling everyone she was going to live forever. His "Think & Grow Rich" book was their "bible".
