Let’s dead this classist narrative about Temi because honestly, the agenda is not going to work. People heard Temi say she had never really been in a place with “a bunch of Nigerians” before and suddenly that became “She’s classist” If we’re going to discuss what Temi said, then let’s discuss the full context, not just the part that fits your narrative. In that same conversation, she referred to Nigerians as “my people” and Nigeria as “my country.” Time and over again, TEMI NKEM who hails from both DELTA STATE and ABEOKUTA OGUN STATE has said over time that she is proud to be Nigerian and has fully identified with her roots. This is someone who has consistently shown genuine interest in reconnecting with her culture. She has even said that if she wins the money, she would relocate to Nigeria. So we're supposed to believe she suddenly thinks she's above Nigerians because she said she had never been around “a bunch of Nigerians” before? Please context matters!!! Temi has spent a large part of her life in the UK and came to Nigeria to experience the country, reconnect with her roots and learn more about her culture. Even in the house, we've seen her ask questions because she genuinely wants to understand her people and her culture. That statement described an experience, not a class hierarchy!!!! If you're going to quote Temi, quote her properly. No amount of selective quoting, agenda pushing or deliberate misinterpretation will change the fact that Temi is proud to be Nigerian. Last night was a lot… Living in the Big brother House involves a lot. It comes with a lot of pressure that requires patience and understanding. A week ago,Temi stepped into the Big brother house fully unaware of what to expect. She had previously not watched past seasons and just wanted to experience what living with different strangers and personalities feels like. She has acted in ways many find offensive and degrading including the incident from last night. Emotions were high last night and words were said. Temi is not perfect but a 21yr learning new things everyday. Temi has given entertainment and a lot of laughter in a week and one moment of reaction does not define her person. We do not excuse her heated reactions and hurtful words said in a riled moment but we believe she has reflected and deserves grace and an opportunity to grow. TO every TEMINATOR and supporter who felt disappointed, we see and validate your feelings. We ask that you all forgive Temi and keep the support stronger than ever.
