Temperatures were so high in southern California yesterday that multiple vehicles broke down on the side of the highway due to overheating.

Interestingly none of them are EVs.

Cars overheat on various CA highways even when it's not super hot. I'm so old I remember turning off A/C, and turning on the heater (it extracts heat from the engine coolant loop), opening the windows.

Weird no EV’s stranded on the side? Technology wins.

Are cars in California different then cars in Texas? 😂

imagine if these were EVs. the haters would have come crawling out haha

You spelled "due to poor maintenance" wrong.

Another reason to switch to EV's with liquid cooled battery packs (which are most of them).

That road is brutal at the best of times, but the best way to manage heat soak is in fact to slow down a bit and not push the engine so hard.

After living in the desert for many years, you learn to turn off Your air conditioning when going up a hill. It helps save your car and you.

Make sure to clean your radiator coils! Soap and water! And turn off your a/c on the climb. Slow lane it …. Suffer some heat then suffer all the heat.
