DACA recipient says she’s now lost her job because of the wait time in her status renewal For those that don’t know, DACA was always meant to be a temporary protected status. It was never permanent. The program was created by Barack Obama and only was meant to last 2 years with a 2 year extension being possible after each 2 years, to be reviewed The way you know this was never meant to be a permanent pass to stay in America is because DACA recipients have no official way to US citizenship or even no legal path to a green card
