@CityofCT @WesternCapeGov @GovernmentZA I did MA Thesis at UCT in 2020 in social housing, focusing on rental. If you are interested I can share with your office free what beneficiaries say about social housing, to enhance policy initiatives. I wrote to all ANC MPs I know to share, no response nor interest shown.

@CityofCT @WesternCapeGov @GovernmentZA Sure, Iโd be grateful. Send it to my office please.

@CityofCT @WesternCapeGov @GovernmentZA Western Cape is the only province that demonstrates improvements. Well done!

@CityofCT @WesternCapeGov @GovernmentZA Enkosi Mayor @geordinhl ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ you talk less and deliver best results

LAUNCH OF THE GOODWOOD SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT Over 330 units are ready to be occupied by tenants for the first phase of the project that will have over 1000 units when completed. The R575-million project is being built near the Goodwood railway station on land owned by National Government's agency PRASA. All the accommodation units are set to be completed after May 2024. With a retail offering on the station deck. The project, initiated by PRASA through its investment vehicle, Intersite, is a joint partnership between the PRASA, the City of Cape Town, the Department of Human Settlements' Social Housing Regulatory Authority, and DCI Community Housing Services. PRASA will receive 6-7% Gross rental income annually for the period of the developmental lease of the project. PRASA is also involved in the construction of 3200 bed student accommodation for NSFAS beneficiaries at the Cape Town Station. Units will be ready to be occupied in February 2024. PRASA's investment vehicle Intersite is also converting PRASAโs Tippet building offices at Park Station, Johannesburg into 189 apartments. Construction began in October 2023 and will take 18 months.
