The Zimbabwean Senate has voted in favour of the controversial Constitution Amendment Bill (No. 3) by 75 votes to 4, with one abstention. The opposition CCC, which has 27 senators in the 80-member chamber, voted alongside ZANUPF. The bill seeks to extend the presidential term from five years to seven years, provide for the future election of a president by Parliament rather than through a direct popular vote, and make a number of other far reaching constitutional changes. The vote means that the bill now awaits the signature of Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa before becoming law. Its passage marks one of the most significant constitutional changes in Zimbabwe’s recent history and is likely to remain the subject of intense political, legal and constitutional debate. The bill also seeks to allow Mnangagwa to influence the selection of his successor and potentially block his deputy, General Constantino Chiwenga, from succeeding him. If and when Mnangagwa signs it into law and there is no significant resistance from within ZANUPF, the military or broader society, it will signal a major setback to Chiwenga’s presidential ambitions, short of an intervention that changes the political landscape. More importantly, it will represent a further consolidation of ZANUPF’s hold on power and diminish the prospects of Zimbabwe having a president from outside the ruling party in the foreseeable future. The self evident story is how Mnangagwa has been assisted by influential business interests, including wealthy individuals aligned with ZANUPF, who may have more to lose from a Chiwenga presidency than from the continuation of the current political order. The only developments that could realistically halt this process would be a military intervention and a sustained national uprising. At present, however, all of these possibilities appear distant from political reality.

Category Labs is proud to introduce Cadence, our multiple-concurrent-proposers (MCP) consensus protocol that matches the optimal good-case latency of single-leader consensus while supporting arbitrarily short block intervals. When combined with BTX, our design for encrypted mempools, this represents a significant step towards solving the problem of MEV at the protocol level. In nearly every blockchain today, a single party ends up in control of each block: it decides which transactions get in, and can reorder them at will. MCP is the natural fix, but most recent designs pay for it with a separate aggregation phase, adding two extra communication rounds per block. Cadence makes the proposers part of consensus itself. Its fast path finalizes in an optimal three communication rounds, even when proposers are offline. Cadence also offers speculative finality, similar to MonadBFT, after just two rounds, revertible only if a proposer provably equivocated. In a simulation using estimated network delays between Monad mainnet's 200 globally distributed validators, finalization takes 219 ms on average, speculative finality 167 ms. Cadence pushes pipelining to the extreme: each block is proposed and finalized in its own independent consensus instance, without waiting on preceding blocks. The block interval then becomes a protocol parameter that can be arbitrarily small. At our initial target of 100 ms, a transaction waits on average just 50 ms to enter a proposal, and oracle prices, liquidations, and auctions can update every 100 ms. Cadence dynamically throttles the opening of new instances to bound the number of outstanding slots even during periods of network instability. When the network is healthy (under synchrony), a transaction included by an honest proposer can be neither dropped nor deferred (short-term censorship resistance), and no proposer can see the others' proposals in time to react (hiding). We prove both, together with safety and liveness under partial synchrony at the optimal 3f+1 fault bound. The Cadence protocol is modular: each module is simple on its own, and any of them can be swapped out without touching the rest. Cadence also builds on components already being deployed: proposals are disseminated as erasure-coded chunks over Deterministic RaptorCast, now rolling out on Monad, and validators vote on proposal digests, so voting does not wait for the full data to arrive. Hi everyone Great news, we have sucesfully cashed out all the money from the wallet that the mom gave us, and this morning me and my brother, went to their village to give them the money in exchange for the solanas raised It took some effort and help from 28. Jun to prove that the crypto community actually raised all this money, but luckily they managed to pull it off. With the 19 000$ that we have raised + what 28Jun has raised, we have purchased a new home for them in their village ( il get the photos of that too) , as this one was not in great condition and it is too small for such a big family. I would like to thank u all for participating and proving that when its a good cause, we can all come together and help, no matter the country, race or nationality Here are some photos i took from this beautiful family

An interesting issue with Robotaxi where it took us to a Starbucks, but the Google data had the incorrect location. At drop off we were 0.2 miles from the Starbucks, so we had a short walk. Is there a way the Tesla AI team could add functionality in the app so riders can update map info to correct errors or inaccuracies on the underlying map data and then this propagates to the fleet? Being able to do this with a pin drop on the map instead of having to use an address might make this very easy and user friendly! Or, as a bigger ask, would it be possible for the car to be able to use visual images on its own to look for a Starbucks sign and on the fly, get us closer and update the map data on its own?

We're excited to announce the launch of the Chainlink Reserve, a new upgrade centered on the creation of a strategic onchain reserve of LINK tokens. The Chainlink Reserve is designed to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the Chainlink Network by accumulating LINK tokens using offchain revenue from large enterprises that are adopting the Chainlink standard and from onchain service usage. The Chainlink Reserve is being built up by using Payment Abstraction to convert offchain and onchain revenue into LINK, using a combination of Chainlink services and decentralized exchange infrastructure. Demand for Chainlink has already created hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, substantially from large enterprises that have paid offchain for access to the Chainlink Platform. With increasing demand from a number of the world’s largest banking and capital markets institutions, this form of paying for the Chainlink standard is expected to grow into the future as the industry grows. Anyone building things like tokenized assets, supply chains, AI agents, or prediction markets still juggle a mess of middleware, and somehow end up spending more time stitching than innovating. How so? Every: - Bridges to move assets, - oracles to fetch data, - indexers to make that data searchable, - relayers and bots to keep everything on schedule— is necessary, but each layer also adds cost, latency, and new risks. The end result is an application that’s expensive to run, fragile under stress, and slower than the Web2 software it’s trying to replace. This is the problem Rialo says it wants to solve. Built by Subzero Labs and backed by $20 million from investors like Pantera Capital and Coinbase Ventures 🛡️, Rialo’s pitch is simple: instead of accepting the middleware tower as an unavoidable cost of doing business, compress it into the base chain itself.
