It has now been established that what happened in the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla was a successful example of hybrid warfare orchestrated by the Moroccan government against Spain. Nearly 50,000 Moroccan nationals were transported from towns and villages across Morocco using trucks and other heavy vehicles organized by the government before being funneled into the two Spanish enclaves. The objective was to exert political pressure on the Spanish government in an effort to force concessions over Morocco's long-standing claim to Ceuta and Melilla.

I’ve just watched the clips. There are rumors which are very hard to ignore that are swirling right now, and videos circulating of state trucks moving large groups of men to the border so they can swim across into Ceuta. It looks very much like the Moroccan government enabled, orchestrated and planned this invasion. The New York Times has spoken with several Moroccan nationals who say they were encouraged to cross by the Moroccan authorities. Fifty thousand men don’t just appear at a border by accident. Trucks, coordination, timing this wasn’t spontaneous. When a state helps move that many people across a border in a single surge, it’s not migration. It’s something else entirely. Call it what it looks like.

This is deeper than illegal migration. It’s an act of war. Moroccan authorities were spotted standing aside and even actively aiding the invaders into Spain. Reports (and the videos themselves) suggest these aren’t poor refugees, but fighting age men. Many are leaving Morocco because of crimes they committed there. Keep in mind, this is taking place in Ceuta. Not mainland Spain. Ceuta is a Spanish enclave whose population regularly reasserts they want to remain Spanish, not Moroccan. Morocco is intentionally sending their most violent individuals to kill the Spanish “imperialists” (ironic coming from Muslims). We’ve known the entire time that this is a third world Islamic invasion, not a refugee crisis. But please take the word “invasion” completely literally. It’s not political rhetoric. Morocco knows exactly what they’ve just done. They just declared war on Europe in a very literal sense. Of course, neither Spain nor the EU will treat it that way, but they should.
