🚨 A farmer on the way home from a party. Three vans blocking a lane near RAF Fairford. Masked men scattering into the trees. She turns the car. Calls 999. Warns the village WhatsApp to lock the doors. Police find the vans. Five arrested. Explosives alleged. 85 homes emptied. She says they saw more than five. She says a plucky amateur shouldn’t be the one spotting it at 1am when the base is on high alert. Iran named Fairford a target in July. Counter-terror are looking at a link. That’s alleged. Five are in custody. The base didn’t clock them first. She did. When is enough, going to be enough? 🫡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Credit: Sky News

🇬🇧🇺🇸🇮🇷 Three vans packed with explosives were found outside a U.S. air base in the UK used to bomb Iran. Five men arrested. 85 households evacuated. A local farmer's WhatsApp message may have done more than the intelligence services. RAF Fairford, home to B1 and B2 bombers throughout the Iran war, was the target. British counter-terrorism police are investigating Iranian direct involvement, NOT proxies. Trump claimed the U.S. had the suspects under surveillance "the whole time." That contradicts reports that local residents, NOT intelligence agencies, spotted the vans and called it in. The base phone line was not answered when a local tried to report the suspicious vehicles directly to RAF Fairford security. On Israel: Finance Minister Smotrich said he wants to do to the West Bank what Israel did to Gaza... Ken Roth of Human Rights Watch called it "a naked land grab with nothing to justify it." Google Maps has now updated its Gaza imagery. It looks like the ruins of an ancient civilization... Brandon Weichert

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT… FIVE MEN ARRESTED ON TERRORISM SUSPICION NEAR RAF FAIRFORD, A BASE THAT HOSTS U.S. FORCES. Bomb robots searched vans. Eighty-five homes evacuated. Trump said America had them under review and they were looking to do big damage. British police still beg the public not to speculate. I speculate this: soft Europe keeps importing risk while our troops sit in the crosshairs. Diversity is not a strength. Thank God they got caught. Stay awake. This is not a drill.

BREAKING | 🇬🇧🇮🇷‼️‼️ British counter-terrorism police have confirmed that petrol was found during searches of three suspicious vans discovered near RAF Fairford in western England, although no explosive devices were found. Five British men in their 20s were arrested on Sunday, initially on suspicion of explosives offenses and later on suspicion of terrorism offenses. All five were released on bail the following day. Against the backdrop of heightened concerns over potential Iranian threats, the discovery near RAF Fairford is particularly sensitive. There is currently no evidence in the information released linking the incident to Iran, but suspicious activity around a major military installation will inevitably receive heightened scrutiny while the broader security environment remains tense. 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 The terror plot at the base launching US bombers at Iran just got strange: 5 men bailed, no explosives, and petrol in the vans. British police found gasoline near RAF Fairford and a van logo for a fuel company that doesn't exist, so locals are guessing fuel thieves, while Rubio insists a foreign actor was clearly involved. Nothing confirms anything staged, but if it was, London plainly wasn't in on it: "If this is an attempted false flag, and I'm not saying it is, the British are not only not going along, they're working against the Americans." Two of the closest allies on earth are telling the public opposite stories about an alleged attack on a shared base, and that crack will outlast whatever was in those vans. Brandon Weichert

Five British men in their 20s were arrested on terrorism charges near RAF Fairford, a U.S.-used military base in southwestern England. President Trump hailed the arrests as a success of U.S.-UK cooperation, but as CBS News' Global Affairs Correspondent Trevor Phillips reports, they come amid strains in the countries’ longtime close relationship, including tensions over Iran and Britain’s earlier decision not to allow the U.S. to use the joint base at Diego Garcia for military action against Iran.

NEW: President Trump confirms that a planned terrorist attack on RAF Fairford in England was stopped. "It was fantastic. Working with Britain, it was an amazing job," Trump said. According to reports, three "suspicious vehicles" were spotted traveling toward RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire very early Sunday morning. One resident says she called police after seeing the vans blocking the road. She says she saw a "large group of hooded and 'balaclava’d' men." 85 homes in the area were evacuated. Five men have been arrested on suspicion of explosive and terrorism offenses. "We had them under investigation. They were looking to do big damage to our fort, and working with the British worked out great... We had them under view for a long time, and we got them," Trump said.
