So it seems Pakistan have been hitting Afghanistan pretty, with airstrikes on Kabul and Kandahar. Is this the next new war to erupt? Funny how Islamists are involved in yet another war, from both sides this time. Seems to be a running theme.

The raid marked the end of a more than 15-year effort by partners across the Intelligence Community to find him. While Pakistan was taking billions of dollars from the U.S. in the name of fighting and helping in the war against terrorism, Pakistan Army generals kept Osama bin Laden hidden inside their cantonment. It is estimated that, in this conflict, the United States paid Pakistan more than $40 billion in exchange for assistance. American troops fought in the mountains of Afghanistan for nearly a decade in search of Osama bin Laden, and dozens of American and NATO soldiers lost their lives. On one hand, Pakistan stood alongside the United States in the fight against terrorism, receiving billions of dollars in aid, while on the other, it harbored the world’s most notorious terrorist, the man responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans, safely within the confines of its own military cantonment.
