Tesla FSD yesterday saved me from a major accident with a lifted Chevy Truck

Passing on the right is illegal. FSD put you in that compromising location in the first place. If you did get hit- it still would have been your fault even though the truck was the one merging. Stay supervising my friend.

Almost a year ago FSD on my 22 MYP with HW3 saved my bacon. I was going around 70 mph and I did not see the deer until FSD already changed lanes…

My save was against a semi!

Now, if only FSD would learn to honk for attention, and maybe shout out through the external speakers: "Hey dummy! I'm driving here!" or some such.

FSD 14 lite keeping an eye on the other lane too on Monday for me. It reacts fast to the slightest cue of lane drift from other drivers.

Why were you doing 54 in a 45 in the right lane, and coming up on a large truck in his blindspot? FSD helped create this situation, but it did prevent the accident so I will give it that.

The blinker was on. Why pull up beside the truck? You mean tesla got you into a mess and then had to take action to get out of the mess?

While he should have looked, speeding and passing on the right may have also been a factor putting you in this situation in the first place, no? I love FSD and use it daily, but even in standard, it made some pretty questionable decisions for me yesterday. I was not happy. 🤣

That truck driver didn’t even swerve back in his lane!!! Thank goodness for FSD watching all around you. Robots are better drivers!!! 😂 These crazy human drivers are nuts.

FSD was wise enough not to speed up to get in front of the truck, which could have caused road rage if the truck driver's ego were easily triggered. 😏

FSD saves lives. More people need to know about it!

Happens all too often. Not surprising it was a big lifted truck. Craziest part about this is they just kept going with no hesitation, what a moron.

This exact maneuver the Tesla is doing, overtaking on the inside, is illegal in Denmark because it causes so many accidents. I don't know but I *would* have assumed it is illegal everywhere, except I see Americans doing it all the time, so surely it cannot be. I am curious why it would be legal, but also even if it IS legal why would people do it, it's so clearly the opposite of defensive driving which many Americans advocate..?

Happens so much in NY, I stopped saving the videos. Large pickups mostly, they get PD “phone distraction”. I see it impact other cars as well.
