A 400 lb trim shows how aggressively Tesla is chasing efficiency as competition tightens. Cutting weight without sacrificing range boosts performance and margins which matters in a market focused on cost and scale.

To my opinion a large part of this weight reduction comes at the cost of product quality. ☠️ I think It should be noted that the Fremont factory in question already has the lowest quality of all Tesla's American plants, only about 50% of the optimum or even less. 🙂

Tesla's engineering wizards treating the Model X like it's prepping for a heavyweight bout—dropping 400 lbs without skimping on the falcon doors or that insane range? Genius moves all around, from the PM motor swap and denser battery cells to smarter wiring and megacastings. Lighter means quicker launches and better miles per charge, proving you don't need gimmicks when relentless optimization does the heavy lifting. This beast just got even more beastly.

Tesla’s “engineering diet” for Model X? Genius. 400 lbs lighter means more range, quicker acceleration, and that “mass begets mass” philosophy in action. EVs just got a whole lot leaner. 🚀⚡

...and still the AWD and Plaid does the same Top Speed of 149mph (not that anyone can go beyond that legally) but losing the weight and keeping the range, you'd think the price would be around $70-80k MSRP not $100k for the base model.

Great! Still doesn't solve the fact that the interior space is extremely sub-par for large families and there isn't enough available storage space for luggage on long road trips. It doesn't even allow for a cartop carrier due to the falcon wing doors. Great for urban transit, lacking heavily for a long-distance focused American market.

Needs to have normal doors to reduce the weight, complexity, warranty claims, and cost, They could get the price down to $65-70k. Way too expensive for what it is.

But no drop in price, ppl getting ripped off buying the X, it’s not much bigger than the Y so costs are not that much higher, they can sell a Y profitable got $40k so cost to build it is about $30k, they making the X for $40-$45k it should be selling for $57k ish.

Woah… the Tesla Semi is no joke. Tesla has engineered what might be the best Class 8 truck in the world. Straight from Jay Leno’s Garage review of the production model, here are the key stats: • 500-mile Long Range and 325-mile Standard Range options — both tested fully loaded at max payload (82,000 lbs gross combination weight) • 1.2 MW Megacharging recovers ~300 miles (~60% of the battery) in just 30 minutes — perfect timing for mandatory driver breaks • Aerodynamic drag coefficient of ~0.4 (7% improvement), thanks to the bullet-shaped cab and center-driver seating • Million-mile durable battery using the same advanced cells as the Cybertruck • Operating costs up to 50% lower than diesel in California and nearly 20% cheaper per mile nationwide — energy, maintenance, no oil changes • Jay Leno hauling 60-70k lbs GVW: “I don’t even feel like I’m pulling anything…” • Real-world fleet: over 13.5 million miles logged, with one truck approaching 440,000 miles at 95% uptime • ~1,000 lbs lighter overall + 2,000 lb EV weight exemption = true payload parity with diesel trucks • Insanely strong regenerative braking — descends steep grades at highway speed with almost zero service brake use • Proven in Alaska winters with efficient heat pump and minimal range loss • Turning radius like a Model 3/Y despite being a full-size Class 8 truck • New dedicated Semi factory near Giga Nevada is ramping high-volume production this year (tens of thousands annually) with strong fleet demand already locked in If I were running a logistics business, the Tesla Semi would be a no-brainer. Lower total cost of ownership, superior performance, zero tailpipe emissions, and a clear path to autonomy. Diesel’s days are numbered. 🚛⚡ Dan Priestley Tesla Semi Elon Musk

THE TESLA MODEL S: THE CAR THAT CHANGED EVs FOREVER – AN HONORABLE END TO A LEGENDARY ERA Tesla just announced the end of Model S production (along with Model X) by Q2 2026, as the company shifts focus toward full autonomy and robotics. Elon Musk called it an “honorable discharge” to make way for the future of AI-driven mobility. But let’s never forget what the Model S truly was: the vehicle that single-handedly proved electric cars could be fast, luxurious, long-range, and desirable—forever shattering the myth that EVs were slow, boring golf carts. Launched in 2012, the Model S was revolutionary: • 0-60 in under 4 seconds (Plaid versions hit sub-2 seconds) — beating most supercars while being silent and efficient. • 300+ mile range when most EVs struggled with 100 miles — making road trips practical and killing “range anxiety.” • Over-the-air updates — the first car to get major performance, features, and safety upgrades wirelessly, like a smartphone on wheels. • Autopilot foundation — laid the groundwork for Tesla’s FSD ecosystem that now powers millions of vehicles. • Forced the industry to respond — GM, Ford, VW, Porsche, and others rushed to catch up, accelerating the global EV transition. Without the Model S proving EVs could dominate the luxury/performance segment, there might be no mass-market Model 3/Y revolution, no Rivian, no Lucid, and far slower adoption worldwide. It wasn’t just a car—it was the spark that ignited the modern EV era. As we say goodbye to new Model S builds, its legacy lives on in every Tesla on the road and every electric vehicle chasing what it started. Thank you, Model S—you changed the world.

George Blankenship got really emotional telling the story of early Tesla And it shows why Tesla’s survival story is one of the wildest in startup history The Model S wasn’t just another car. It was Tesla’s first true everyday car And it was Tesla’s do-or-die moment Thousands of people trusted Elon Musk enough to hand over $5,000 deposits… No car in their driveway No guarantee Tesla would survive Just belief in a promise But behind the scenes, the reality was brutal In Q2 2012, Tesla delivered just 12 cars in the entire quarter Wall Street was circling like vultures The media was waiting for Tesla to die Short sellers were waiting for the collapse And the company was running straight into one of the most terrifying production hells in startup history Then Elon did something insane He publicly tweeted that Tesla would be profitable by Q1 2013 That wasn’t a prediction That was a survival command To make it happen, Elon set the number: 4,750 deliveries.... The mission became clear: Deliver thousands of Model S cars before the quarter ended The number that mattered inside the company became 4,750 The pressure inside Tesla became unreal George Blankenship had to email Elon every single night at exactly midnight with the raw survival numbers: How many deliveries still stood between Tesla and death By the final week, job titles disappeared IT guys were washing cars Marketing guys were moving cars People who had never worked in delivery were suddenly doing whatever it took Nobody was “above” the work Nobody was waiting for someone else. Everyone was fighting for the same thing: Keep Tesla alive Then came the final Saturday of the quarter. At 3 PM… Car 4,750 was delivered Tesla had done the impossible Blankenship stood on his desk, looked at his exhausted team, and told them: “What you just did is monumental… not just for Tesla, but for what we’re going to do for mankind.” That quarter, Tesla shocked the world with an $11M profit. The stock exploded from around $20 to $90 But the real story isn’t the stock It’s that Tesla crossed the line between impossible and inevitable They didn’t just build a company. They forged the foundation of the EV revolution

We were first in world for 1 cells swap…but… Is it possible to repair any high-voltage battery (HVB)? In reality—no, not always. The end-of-life for an HVB depends heavily on mileage, aging, cell type, C-rate, and the overall design and lifespan expectations. Repairability varies significantly depending on whether the pack uses pouch, prismatic, blade, or cylindrical cells—and whether the failure occurs early or late in its life. If the battery fails early in its lifecycle, repairs are usually feasible. However, if it fails after reaching its intended lifespan, any repair tends to be more of a temporary “patch” until a replacement pack is sourced. From experience for cellswap: •Blade and some pouch cells are nearly impossible to repair. •Prismatic cells are difficult. •Cylindrical cells are the easiest to repair—depending on the pack design. (* module change not a topic) This is why it’s encouraging that BMW, Hyundai, Mercedes, and Porsche have finally begun adopting cylindrical cell designs, moving away from less reliable pouch cells—albeit a decade too late. For example, a Tesla Model S 100D battery can last up to 600,000km in Model S and 450,000km in Model X. The older 85 kWh pack in the S85 can even reach 600,000 km. However, the same pack in the high-performance P85D tends to degrade around 400,000 km, requiring full replacement due to total deterioration. In summary: Yes, battery repair is possible—but only if the pack is still within its designed service life.

This is the MOST HEATED I’VE EVER BEEN ON A VIDEO 😤 “Calories in calories out doesn’t work for everyone!” YES IT F***ING DOES! STOP DISEMPOWERING PEOPLE! This segment on Oprah Winfrey made me absolutely heated. First off let’s get rid of this idea that calories in calories out doesn’t work for obese people. ABSOLUTE NONSENSE. When obese people eat in a calorie deficit THEY LOSE WEIGHT IN THE HUMAN RANDOMIZED CONTROL TRIALS (PMIDs: 28329121, 2407096, & 26775902) Obese people do NOT have slower metabolisms than lean people when equated for BMR (if anything they are slightly faster). This is true for women & men & those who are obese with & without Type 2 diabetes ) (PMID: 1556954, 18223609, & 26838741) Now I’m NOT saying obesity is all the fault of the individual. It is not. Research shows that women who are obese have a 50% greater rate of past sexual assault trauma (PMID: 17606550) Moreover if calories in calories out didn’t work how do you explain semiglutide results and GLP-1 mimetics? They do NOT increase metabolic rate. Their effect is on APPETITE! Telling someone that calories in vs calories out doesn’t work for them might make their ego feel better in the short term but you are DISEMPOWERING THESE PEOPLE! They hear this and think “even if I try it won’t work.” BULLSHIT. Weight loss in the long term is hard. But hard is NOT the same thing as impossible. Please explain people like Ethan Suplee who lost over 300 lbs and kept if off?! STOP with these doctors and psychologists talking about sh*t they have no clue about! It’s ABSURD!

AGENT WARS We asked 5 top AI models to design, engineer and 3D print a bridge to with the goal of holding the most possible weight. 🇺🇸 Anthropic: Claude Opus 5.5 (High) 🇨🇳 Kimi: Kimi K3 (High) 🇺🇸 Meta: Muse Spark 1.3 (High) 🇺🇸 OpenAI: GPT 6 Astra (High) 🇺🇸 SpaceXAI: Grok 4.7 (High) Each bridge had specific parameters. It had to span 2 feet, use a maximum 500 grams of filament, and it had to be under 18 hours of printing time. We specified what type of weight and where we would place it on the bridge. The Score: • Claude Opus 5.5 held an estimated 130 lbs! It took 9 hours and 11 minutes to print 17 parts and used 441 grams of filament. • Meta Muse Spark 1.3 held 26.5 lbs. It took 13 hours and 12 minutes to print 49 parts and used 478 grams of filament. • OpenAI GPT-6 Astra held an estimated 17.5 lbs. It took 15 hours and 44 minutes to print 29 parts and used 442 grams of filament. • SpaceXAI Grok 4.7 did not finish. On assembly it could not stand up by itself. It took 12 hours and 22 minutes to print 29 parts and used 460 grams of filament. • Kimi K3 did not finish. It wasn’t engineered correctly so the bridge could not even be assembled. It took 11 hours and 19 minutes to print 35 parts and used 446 grams of filament. That means our champion for this episode is Claude Opus 5.5. Not only did it hold the most weight (by FAR) it also took the least time to print, used the least amount of parts and used the least amount of filament. This was episode 02 of Agent Wars, stay tuned for episode 03.
