Breaking Giga Texas News! starting today, new vehicles (Model Ys & Cybertruck are moving fully autonomously from the factory to the west outbound lot and without human supervisors! I saw this happening constantly, with Model Ys exiting and immediately driving away on their own from the factory. This is a huge accomplishment for Tesla as now Giga Texas joins Fremont as FSD improves overall efficiency!

I had a great time at Tesla Giga Berlin a few days ago, getting to tour the factory, meet with several employees and perhaps most importantly, I got to meet & interview the primary drone operators covering the construction of the factory, Andres and Robert The Wolfpack Berlin - Robert & Andreas and Tobias Lindh Tobias Lindh which was really special for me! I also got to talk with the employees that have created the lifeatgigaberlin X channel that focuses on the employees, their activities and gives us an insight into life at Giga Berlin. I like their work and I think their approach should be considered for other Tesla factories! In this recap of my time at Giga Berlin, I provide some of my thoughts and comparisons between Giga Texas and Giga Berlin and provide some interior views of the factory courtesy & permission of EFIEBER who also recently toured Giga Berlin, so you should check out his channel for additional details, although most will be in German. Tesla is already using their brand new Cortex supercomputer training cluster in Giga Texas (video of it below). Tesla FSD V13 is the first fully new version of FSD to use Cortex (Tesla says 5x training compute scaling with V13). Tesla increased its AI training compute by 75% in Q3 thanks to 29,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs they installed at Giga Texas last quarter – and expected to have 50,000 H100 capacity by the end of October. That will eventually increase to 100,000 H100 equivalent capacity.

The Netherlands might be the first country in Europe to get Supervised FSD & in anticipation of that, Michael van Zandvoort from Tesla Magazine Michel van Zandvoort came to the USA to test both FSD 13.2.9 & Tesla Robotaxi along with getting a tour Giga Texas! Tesla asked me to give him a few robotaxi rides just before we went to the factory & here is what Michael had to say about his first hand experiences & his expectations for FSD approval in the Netherlands!
