Tesla, please update carwash mode... Watch what happens when you put a window down in carwash mode.

Yeah yeah... A couple of you have already said Tesla shouldn't have to stupid proof it, but I'm bringing this up because a friend recently put down the window by mistake, didn't know, and ended up getting water in her car.

The Tesla Model 3/Y produced in the 2017-2024 timeframe all have just an air conditioning vent in the back. But it would be great to turn it into a smart screen that can watch movies, play games and other controls.

Totally agree. Need window status icon red/ green It’s not about over protection. If there’s a “car wash mode,” it should check all the things that go wrong in a car wash 👍🏼

Exactly. If you see all green then you assume everything is good to go.

Why would you roll the windows down after you just put it in car wash mode? Sheesh.

Maybe someone put it in car wash mode and then put the window down to talk to an attendant. Or like someone else commented about accidently hitting the window button with their elbow.

This is one of those do we really have to stupid proof everything situations.

There are several things people could do while in car wash mode. You can shift into drive. You can hold the brake. You can roll down the windows. You can open the doors. But why would anyone do that?
