Tesla should put remote operating/takeover abilities in the app and the riders could drive via a video game like interface from within the car if necessary.

I don't see why an update to the $Tesla app couldn't simply allow a passanger in a robotaxi who has a valid license take over in the edge case as needed. Why allow a remote operator in the first place? Let the passenger with eyes, use a phone to drive till the robot can take back over.

What are the implications of induction charging for people with pacemakers? This will need to be addressed before charging plates for robocabs are rolled out en mass in public car parks.

Here's how Robotaxis can happen tomorrow, for Christmas, this Christmas, with a bit of software. My wife and I have a Y and a 3, and plan to get a new Y when the newer version comes out. We share a level 2 charger at home. I work at home, she works 35 miles away. We have parking for 3 vehicles near our charger at home. Right now, I charge my Y from about 3 pm to about 9 pm. She charges hers overnight. The new Y can be charged in the am on the same charger. We could have alarms on our phones when the vehicle needs help. From my experience that is perhaps, with 12.5, once a day at most. We could teleoperate from our phones if needed. At first, one of us could sit at a desktop and supervise and even interact with our ride customers, when we have customers. At the end of her workday, my wife has the car pick her up, and stops by the carwash on the way home, using her monthly pass so incremental washes are free. In the morning, I wash the newer model Y before putting it out in our home area, to drive around sober people in the nicest care we own. In the evening, I wash the older model Y and put it out for the evening rush hour. Then we use the money we make to build our mansion with parking and charging and a wash area to take care of our entire fleet while our teenage kids, who are really great at video games, act as supervisors of how ever many vehicles we have them. The most important feature for us as Tesla shareholders in all this is that the LIABILITY is offloaded to millions of small fleet operators who are ultimately responsible for the safety of their customers. The thing that may prevent us from doing this is that we are getting so rich right now with our thousands of shares in Tesla that we may not decide to do any of this, but there are surely lots of immigrant families in our area that would surely love to get on the Tesla gravy train and do this. Tesla will make many, many, people very, very rich. As fleet supervisors and as stockholders.
