Tesla’s Optimus just moved into production at Fremont 🤖⚡ No code, no pre-programming — it learns by watching, the same way a new employee does. Musk says it’s the first humanoid robot capable of truly generalized tasks — not remote-controlled demos, the real thing. The robot revolution isn’t coming....

I think that everything is still ahead and will fly like a rocket. The first iPhones did not have a 120 Hz screen, did they?

How many tokens did loading those dishes cost? 😊

DN_DEGEN 的头像
DN_DEGEN7 天前

Well, how much would you pay for it?

R I 的头像
R I7 天前

I put my dishes in the dishwasher after each meal. Takes a minute each. I turn the washer on at night and empty it the next moring in 3 minutes of bending exercise my body needs and no work related income taxes to pay for a robot and its service fees - so I'd pay nothing for it.

What I’d purchase a robot for is to mow my properties, go to town for things I need, and do other work that provides a return on my investment. Filling the dishwasher makes sense for someone who is disabled, where the tokens could be well worth the cost. 👍

I'd like Elon to explain why these robots aren't ingrained with Asimov's three laws. 1 A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2 A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3 A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

This would be great for people with reduced mobility; I, for example, use a wheelchair, and it would be incredible to have a robot to help me! 😄

Finally some video evidence of real world evidence. I really thought the dancing robots were interesting but didn’t have much use for one. Now, I’d love to see one picking grapes.

I'm sorry, but this looks like we're a million years away from having a real humanoid robot (along the lines of Data from Star Trek).

I am 53… you would think I would not be down with the self driving g cars and home robots… but I am here for it. I am informed my 73 year old mother that she is going to be down for it. Both the Tesla auto so she can get where she wants to go since she has trouble driving now, and the Optimus robot which “may” end up keeping her out of a nursing home. @elonmusk keep up the great work. We are behind you. No really… turn around and look.. I’m behind you 🙋🏻‍♂️

OPTIMUS: TESLA’S HUMANOID ROBOT IS ABOUT TO TRANSFORM LABOR & ABUNDANCE Optimus isn’t just a cool prototype—it’s Tesla’s bet on solving the biggest economic constraint of the future: physical labor shortages. Designed from the ground up as a general-purpose humanoid, Optimus will handle unsafe, repetitive, or boring tasks at scale, freeing humans for higher-value work and accelerating abundance across industries. Key impacts already in motion: •Factory deployment — Early units are performing real tasks at Tesla Gigafactories, proving reliability in chaotic, real-world environments. •Dangerous & dull jobs — Welding, heavy lifting, sorting, cleaning hazardous sites—Optimus takes the risk so people don’t have to. •24/7 productivity — No fatigue, no breaks, no unions—constant output that scales with demand. •Home & care applications — Helping the elderly, assisting with disabilities, or handling household chores—turning science fiction into everyday reality. •Economic multiplier — When humanoid robots become cheaper than human labor, costs collapse in manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, and services—unlocking massive productivity gains and lower prices for everyone. From first walking demos to factory trials, Optimus is progressing faster than most realize. It’s the physical embodiment of Tesla’s AI + robotics vision: a world where physical work is abundant, safe, and optional. Which Optimus application excites you most—factory scaling, elder care, or seeing it cook breakfast? The age of humanoid helpers is closer than you think. 🤖⚡🚀
