🔥#VEVE "Where's Rhys?", "Why Are The Ecomi YouTube Videos Deleted?", and "What's Happening With OMI & OUP?" are 3 major concerns from the community, so we asked David Yu ⭕️ exactly that. 💎A couple takeaways: 👩‍💻 In the past when the team was smaller, Rhys as the community manager focusing on OMI might have been the go-to person for the token & OUP, however, now that they have a team dedicated to OMI & OUP, the implementations and communications will be handled in a more structured manner. Long story short, Rhys's still with the company, but keep in mind he's not the sole person for OMI. Ecomi/Veve will let us know if there's a new community manager. 🎛️ As all teams in VeVe/ECOMI grow (current in the phase of growing 70 to 300 employees, we should appreciate this fact because other NFT platforms are shutting down while VeVe's growing strong), everyone's tied to KPIs and deliverables in a corporate way & anyone can be replaced to make sure the company always have talent and capability to get things done. 🍎 Besides regulatory issues, the company has to respect Apple's restriction on in-app crypto transaction and hence they can't circumvent that and risk being delisted from the App Store. Therefore OMI transactions on the VeVe mobile app (and again, this is just OMI transactions in the mobile app) will have to wait. 🌎 My understanding is: because of that, the team that work on OMI & its utilities will focus more on a/ Non-transactional features for mobile app, for now, because of Apple's policy. I assume this might be staking and points, etc. The web app will obviously get more implementations due to more freedom. I hope Apple green lights crypto soon because that would certainly help. b/ Utilities for OMI in VeVeVerse. c/ Incorporating OUP to complement MCP to create an integrated loyalty program. My take: I really appreciate David's sharing these important notes on OMI and OUP and how the teams are growing, but we need to get more OMI updates more often. Example: VeVe ships new in-app updates, big or small, every 2 weeks, meanwhile we haven't heard anything from the Ecomi side for months. Also, as VeVe gets a dedicated blog site, Ecomi loses content (the YouTube videos). I'd be happy with just something on a monthly basis. We have seen a significant change in VeVe updates after Mitch and Nestor started, they also communicate frequently with the community, we need the new Mitch(s) and Nestor(s) on the OMI side, shipping utilities and talking about them. It was good to know there is a team working on utilities instead of just one or 2 people and a plan, and challenges including regulations and Apple's restriction on crypto transaction, but many of the VeVe fam (myself included) learned about OMI first and used that as a gateway for VeVe, so having some utilities for OMI would certainly help bringing awareness to VeVe and the whole ecosystem. What do you think, guys?

So a core issues I see with a lot of crypto games is: No in game peer to peer economy. (ie. The game Devs make all the $$ off the items and you buy from them not other players) Couple of things I wanted to experiment with, in regards to on chain gaming is the peer to peer economy. So the way my team set it up, is you mine the token in game, but you sell the items peer to peer in SOL. (see video for a demo) This gives you two different ways to play to earn, you can farm items, from bosses and loot boxes, and sell them to players for solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 , then other players can buy them and use them to mine the token, and sell the token to traders who will speculate on the price. Or you can just buy the loot boxes, and use the items to farm the token. This should help with the sell pressure, because before the game flow was: Buy item (in token, From devs) --->farm a ton of token---> Sell token to recoup cost of item. New flow is : Player opens loot boxes (paid in token)/ Player Plays game (in game token sinks) ---> gets item ---Lists item--> other player buy Item (From players, In SOL) ----Farms token---> sells token. Now the equation is if the loot box-player spent more game tokens to get the item compared to what he gets for in sol, and it keeps more money in the in game economy, and the market will fluctuate more based on the price of the in game token. So players who play and are "locked in" can make money off arbing and this services the "trader" archetype of player, which I feel is the major player type in web3-games. (also the token name is just a test token so dont buy random shit on pump fun, thats just using the name)

THE BEST LEADERS DON’T ASK FOR “BUY-IN”. THEY DO THIS INSTEAD: “Coaches use this word ‘buy-in’ all the time. And I’ll let you in on a little secret. It’s actually not a secret if you've watched anything I’ve ever put out before. I don't like the phrase ‘buy-in’. I don't like the word. I don't like the idea. It’s not something I’m interested in. I think the coaching profession and teams would be better off if coaches simply stopped asking for buy-in. But because I know that's not going to happen on anything besides a very small scale with a few select coaches and they're going to talk about and use the phrase ‘buy-in’, then we want to at least try to do it as best as we possibly can. But between you and me — don't even use the word. Don't use the word. Don't ask for buy-in. Don't demand buy-in. Focus entirely on that second point (“Create something worth buying into”) and do your best to not use the phrase. First, don't use the phrase because so many other places and so many other people and so many other coaches do and people are tired of it. So, I think the responsibility is on us if we're going to use a phrase then we need to know how that phrase is going to be seen, heard, and perceived. And when people get tired of being told to buy in and asked to buy in and begged to buy in and pleaded to buy in and preached to buy in, they turn it off and they tune it out. So, I think even using the phrase runs that risk. That's #1. #2 is: Rather than ask for it, rather than demand it, rather than even use the phrase, just focus on your action and go earn buy-in by doing great work. Go earn buy-in without having to ask, without having to demand, without having to beg, without having to plead, without having to preach. Go deliver an experience where people do it naturally. Go set standards that are hard to achieve and help people meet them. Go figure out what's important to other people and make it important to you in a way that they recognize. Go point people in a direction that takes them where they want to go and also serves your team. Buy-in will happen when you (1) build great relationships, (2) you point people towards goals that they're interested in, (2) you call out the best version of themselves, and (4) you help them belong to something that they're interested in belonging to. You don't need to use the word buy-in to create that. You just have to go out do the work. And you have to be good enough to earn the buy-in you want.”

Announcement. Keshirea testing begins on SUNDAY. What you've experienced so far with Dremica is us testing features and networking on our small test island. We're really grateful for the help and support of all 300+ of you last Carnage. It's only a glimpse of what is being worked on. But now it's time to experience the true beginning of a web3 MMORPG with saved player progression, PVP and more. Keshirea testing will begin internally with the team and a handful of dedicated community members on Sunday 13th July 2pm UTC. The usual carnage sessions will be paused until the new Carnage system is announced. Keshirea is what we've been building these past 8+ months. It's possibly over 10x larger than the current test world. Over 30 people have been involved in filing out the world, even I'm excited to explore it. It is a GIANT amount of content to dig your teeth into. We will pause the bi-monthly carnage events whilst we begin to transition to an actual MMORPG experience. Our previous 2 hour speed-run Carnages were a great testing platform, but I want us to now have our character data saved between sessions and enjoy the real grind. We've all experienced the likes of World of Warcraft and Runescape, I think everyone secretly desires a web3 version of this life-sucking dopamine-fest. That's what we're aiming to build. So on Sunday at 2pm UTC we will open the servers for 4 hours. If everything goes well, the servers will be open at the same time for the entire week, and on Sunday 20th we can have our first PVP tournament. We've intentionally made it so there's no reward system in place for the initial testing. No need to "rush", just enjoy the game. Would really be grateful if the community can assist with structured feedback so we can tackle all the bugs to get ready for what comes next. The first test session will aim to bring in 50 players, and we will scale from there. We will prioritize the team and most dedicated community members first. Will keep you updated in Discord and the Dremica telegram groups. There's also something else we've been secretly building that we will need your help testing that I'll reveal soon. See you in game.
