This weekend, I spent about an hour total riding in the back seat of my Model Y while using the updated Actually Smart Summon, across four different parking lots, some of them very busy. The car handled everything very well. Its behavior felt so natural that hardly anyone even noticed it was driving itself lol. The improvements with Actually Smart Summon in FSD V14.3.2 are notable. Tesla recently unified the model between Actually Smart Summon, FSD, and Robotaxi for more capable and reliable behavior. The car now pulls over in a much more natural and robotaxi like way, and responds instantly to app input. When you initiate the summon, it starts driving immediately. If you lift your finger off the button, it stops immediately. If someone is backing out, the car will recognize that and react before you could. Also, zero connection issues. You can feel Tesla laying the ground work for banish in the future. I'd like to see the max operating speed increased above 6 MPH. If you get FSD V14.3.2, definitely go try out the updated Actually Smart Summon. Here's some of my testing:

Wow, Mad Max on the Cybertruck is such a great FSD profile. On the highway, it maintains a quick speed above 80 mph and effortlessly moves around traffic. One of my biggest complaints about FSD has been the speed the truck drives on the highway. It loved to keep me at 74 mph and sit in the left lane - causing fast drivers to pass me on the right. Can’t wait to keep using this for long commutes 🙌🏼

Actually Smart Summon on Cybertruck is AWESOME. The best part? People’s reactions lol. Everyone literally freaks out when they see nobody in the driver’s seat. Cybertruck already gets so much attention, so it makes it even more epic. It works really well, just like FSD. The speed is limited to 6 mph vs 8 mph in other Teslas. There’s something really cool about seeing this truck drive by itself. Definitely hits different compared to other summon experiences. Can’t get enough of it, so cool.

“I saw a 5 mph increase like that.” Ben Crane describing how learning to unweight in transition helped him generate higher ground reaction forces on the downswing, resulting in an immediate jump in clubhead speed. Ben’s journey to 120 mph has also included serious physical and speed training, but this change is an example of how encouraging a more athletic swing can produce instant speed. Looks like Tesla has updated Actually Smart Summon in FSD V14.3+ The steering looks smoother and more similar to actual FSD operation. Also, it now shows the FSD visualization when moving. Below is a rough comparison between V13.2.9 & V14.3.1

Breadcrumbs of Banish appear to be in the latest Actually Smart Summon release. My Model 3 parked itself on ASS (FSD v14.3.2) after I blocked the road and used hand signals to direct it into a parking spot (target was on opposite side of the building). I've never seen it do this before. It didn't just pull in across the lines, it parked near-perfectly like it does on FSD. Worked with my Model 3 and TeslaFSD - Dave's Model Y on first attempt. Of course when I brought out the camera it took like 7 tries, but it eventually did it again! Not enough data to conclude if it's actually listening to my hand signals, or just giving up and deciding to park instead of block the road. Would be interesting to see if other people can try and replicate this. Everything is there for Banish to work, just comes down to Tesla feeling comfortable enough to let it go unsupervised in parking lots.

This week, a driver was stopped in Leesburg traveling 121 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on East Market Street at River Creek Parkway. The driver has been charged and is scheduled to appear in court. At those speeds, there is little room for reaction, and the consequences of a crash are often catastrophic. The Leesburg Police Department takes dangerous driving seriously. Excessive speed isn't just a traffic violation—it endangers innocent lives. If you choose to drive recklessly, expect to be stopped, charged, and held accountable. Slow down. Arrive alive.

Testing FSD 14.3.4 coming into town and it still struggles to slow to correct speed on its own. Speed limits in WI in most towns are 25 MPH. As I come into town speed limit was 45 and it was holding that good. But once I come into town I NEED it to slow correctly to at least 30 so it’s only over by 5 mph If I don’t I will get pulled over. Cops sit at the edge of town. Just waiting to catch you. I tried it again tonight and still does not slow on its own. I usually just switch the speed profile to chill and it immediately slows and I’m good. I can switch it back to standard and it holds at about 5 over. Why can’t FSD just do this on its own? Once unsupervised is here this must be correct. I know FSD is work in progress but this is one of the pain points many of us struggle with. The signs are clearly marked. It even has slow down ahead signs. FSD needs to do its job correctly. I love FSD and I know they will get this but just wanted to highlight the importance of this. Until then I’ll just use the quick change profile trick. 🤙🏼 Tesla AI

It took 75 frames in a 30 FPS video to travel 212.63 ft equating to 57.9 MPH (probably 60). The incident occurred in August of 2025. These are just facts. Yes the driver should have intervened sooner. Yes, FSD was approaching way too fast.

I think as always it’s fair to talk about the good and the bad with each new version of FSD that comes out. It feels like FSD V14.2.2.4 is still struggling with speed control. I spent the majority of my drive tonight in standard and I found that on most straight stretches of road the car was going under the speed limit by a considerable amount (15kmh at times) Here’s a raw clip of the car driving between 60-67 kmh in a 70kmh zone with zero cars around it to slow it down. The road is well lit with traffic lights, so I don’t really see any reason at all to be driving this way. Let me know what you all think.

Video of my first drive impressions of the Tesla Model Y L Premium Long Wheelbase. It has adaptive damping that noticeably improves ride comfort on bad roads versus the shorter Model Y Premium (LA is a great place to test this lol). While the new Model Y Performance also has adaptive damping, that is tuned more for sportiness. The Y L dampening is tuned for comfort, and even on the 20" Uberhelix wheels, it soaks up the bumps really well. The Model Y L also benefits from updates to Tesla's adaptive system controls, which improve the accuracy and latency of their actuator control. The Model Y L doesn't feel all that noticeably larger than the Model Y while driving it, but what is immediately noticeable is the improved rear view out the back window from the review mirror. Due to the shape of the glass and the rear, you get a taller, more expansive view. It's very quiet in every row, and the Y L even features improvements in this area versus the current Model Y. There is a new "Rear Comfort" setting that is exclusive to the Model Y L. Basically what that does is it prioritizes ride comfort for second and third rows over optimal steering and handling and first row comfort. My wife said it was her favorite second-row experience of any Tesla she's ever been in (which is all of them). The Model Y L just feels really refined overall. The driving dynamics, sound dampening, suspension, FSD, etc, it all just feels really dialed in, and I think when you test drive it, you will agree. As for FSD, I got to try FSD V14.3.7, and it's as you'd expect: amazing. I'm going to post a couple separate dedicated FSD videos later today.
