Testing out this LTX 2.3 LoRA for removing objects blocking a shot. There’s still a bit of jitter when the face goes out of view, but coming from shooting weddings, I definitely would’ve tried using this to save shots when something was blocking my view.

I give a lot of love to Spielberg for his blocking, but here's some really nice evolving blocking and staging from Robert Eggers and Jarin Blaschke, who, from my understanding, work closely together to conceive of these shots in prep. I love the Spielbergian use of depth and foreground-versus-background groupings relative to the camera. The simplicity of the camera staging also reminds me a bit of some of the staging in Gone with the Wind. Lots of really nice shots like this in this film, but this one really stood out for me in the theater. When I watch tennis in-person, I’m always so struck by the production of it all, so this was a VERY distracting view. I was so impressed. This diva was LOCKED IN for the action shots.

As a kid I would watch this and it was so foreign to me on so many levels. But I could not get enough of it. It was part of what shaped my view of British culture. To this day this intro still fascinates me. Look for the shadows when they move to the table. Brilliant.

I finally put a cam into the tunnels to get alerts when somebun's down there. it's far more often than I originally thought 😅 Snooshi was down there too, but he was always right in front of the camera blocking the view for some reason 😂 #TalesFromTheTunnels #WhiskerWednesday

3rd Breakdown of Steven Spielberg's blocking, camera movement, and staging in Munich. This one is fascinating because he uses the car to dolly, the lens to zoom, and Eric Bana's blocking to stitch 4 shots into 1. It's so low tech but it's exquisite. It's also a reminder to throw out the rules. I don't think it's natural to crouch beside a car, but it works because it looks great. This of course might be a negotiation with your actors, as the blocking needs to feel truthful for them to sell it, but IMO sometimes it's okay to just make a shot look cool. #FilmTwitter #spielberg

Not bad for a couple of afternoons! Making quick work of this Automap. Got revealing/exploring working, tumbling/panning, some shader magic to dither out map that is blocking your view of the player, and basic support for objective markers, if I wind up doing that #gamedev

Sketch pad time! I wanted to do this for a while but FINALLY found a pencil while unpacking the last of the boxes! Except it didn't have an eraser 😭 But I digress! I haven't sketched in a long time in traditional but this was a super fun change of pace. I only had a little bit of difficulty trying to not look at my phone the entire time as it was quite in the way of my point of view of the paper. This was fun! Def a change of pace from digital!
