Testing some UI. Not Ghostty btw (but, libghostty). Not ready to talk more yet, but sharing things I'm excited about. Plenty more details soon.

I built a terminal ui,niri tile-manager style using lib-ghostty and been my daily driver for a while now. love the building blocks

God damn it. Do I see sessions here?

Yes

Any idea how to fix this text flashing on persistent line updates (home-brew upgrade in this case) in ghostty?

Yeah the program needs to use synchronized rendering. It’s tearing. Ghostty is generally rendering while it’s still drawing the screen (the TUI program)

Need

@almonk @almonk vibes

Is it based on the split pane library you shared before?

Yep

Looking forward for more details about it, looks interesting ><

Like this, so I don’t need tmux or zellij anymore

Looks very nice. I will take the risk of asking something potentially dumb. Why isn't there a separate repo for libghostty? To me it is not obvious what I should extract and use as a dependency from the ghostty repo.

@almonk Please can you make it stack?

This will be in omarchy within a month 😂

Take my money 💵

plan9 is so back

cc @lassejv

Love the way maximizing a split promotes it to a tab.

That looks awesome and smooth. Nice 😊

buttery smooth! Would be cool to have notch integration, when a tab needs attention, the notch would showcase it!

i'm just waiting for this to switch all of my machines fully to ghostty

I wish this was ready, i really need to embed a terminal in my app. How far along are you Mitch?

video nya beneran helpful banget, exactly what I needed to understand the tooling stack better 🔥

it's not tmux, but it's definitely tmux

Can we get « tmux -CC » like iTerm2 ?

Also you guys should have a marketplace of suggested themes. I spent way too long finding a nice looking theme and setting it up

@createtoremove shiny

Is this going to build on Linux too? I really want a Linux cmux multiplexer (with name-able) workspace tab groupings

I want this!!!

Love seeing developers share work in progress instead of only polished releases. Looking forward to learning more about the design decisions behind it.

Sweet - this would be awesome!

macos only?

damn that's sexy. and fast.

Looks great! I'd love a similar desktop window maker rather than being constrained to terminals.

GhosttyWM???

@almonk This looks great Mitchell! Happy to test if helpful. Thanks for all of your work on Ghostty.

Wow I already love ghostty, and this looks even more amazing!

Can't wait to see this. Looks cool

Looks beautiful! Is this on MacOS or Linux?
