Greg Abbott to act, writing: "I am respectfully requesting that you … immediately fire this professor and President Welsh.” Later that day, Texas A&M President Mark Welsh III issued a statement, reading in part: "I learned this afternoon that key leaders in the College of Arts and Sciences approved plans to continue teaching course content that was not consistent with the course’s published description. The history professor who showed the film called her a violent Zionist and an agent, gathered students to protest her geography class, they vandalized her office, bombarded her profile with fake negative reviews, and boycotted her classes. These attacks eventually led to the cancellation of her class. Her employer at Mt. San Antonio College refused to address the issues, and the professor who initiated the attacks continues to lead protests and show the antisemitic film in his classes.
