Ranking Member Chip Roy Chip Roy of the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government gave a strong opening statement at today’s hearing, “Sharia-Free America: Why Political Islam & Sharia Law Are Incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.” Roy stated that “Sharia” may sound like a 2010s buzzword, but America’s history and current trajectory make it clear that this is not the case. Roy first reminded us that it was America’s Founding Fathers who first recognized the threat Sharia law and Islam pose to the USA, as Thomas Jefferson commanded America’s military during the Barbary Wars to defeat the Islamists and freed up the shipping routes around Africa. Roy then noted that Sharia is now expanding in his home state of Texas, where Islamists are attempting to build a massive compound in Plano, Texas, known as EPIC. Roy provided a breakdown of Islamic immigration numbers, proving third-world migration is incompatible with the West: “A September 2024 survey found this about American Muslims: 54% favored a Sharia blasphemy law, 46% were in favor of forming a Muslim political party, and 33% want Islam declared as our national religion.” Roy then pointed out how much of this mass Muslim migration and pro-Islamic propaganda in America’s education system is being funded by Qatar: “Qatar Foundation International… In Texas, QFI has directed funding to Arabic in several districts.” Islamists want to transform America. Ranking Member Chip Roy Chip Roy of the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government gave a strong opening statement at today’s hearing, “Sharia-Free America: Why Political Islam & Sharia Law Are Incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.” Roy stated that “Sharia” may sound like a 2010s buzzword, but America’s history and current trajectory make it clear that this is not the case. Roy first reminded us that it was America’s Founding Fathers who first recognized the threat Sharia law and Islam pose to the USA, as Thomas Jefferson commanded America’s military during the Barbary Wars to defeat the Islamists and freed up the shipping routes around Africa. Roy then noted that Sharia is now expanding in his home state of Texas, where Islamists are attempting to build a massive compound in Plano, Texas, known as EPIC. Roy provided a breakdown of Islamic immigration numbers, proving third-world migration is incompatible with the West: “A September 2024 survey found this about American Muslims: 54% favored a Sharia blasphemy law, 46% were in favor of forming a Muslim political party, and 33% want Islam declared as our national religion.” Roy then pointed out how much of this mass Muslim migration and pro-Islamic propaganda in America’s education system is being funded by Qatar: “Qatar Foundation International… In Texas, QFI has directed funding to Arabic in several districts.” Islamists want to transform America.
