Texas offering 2027 Georgia Tech LB commit Jason Crenshaw Jr. is already having a trickle effect. (Jason Crenshaw Jr) “It’s crazy. It’s surreal. It’s good to see all the hard work is paying off.” Crenshaw told me he’s since heard from Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Florida and Georgia. He also received a call from Georgia Tech’s head coach after the Yellow Jackets learned about the Texas offer.

🚨#BREAKING: Tyjuan Crenshaw, a man who works with special needs children, saw a young man being BEATEN IN THE STREET. He stepped in and saved the man and chased the attacker off... ...AND THE POLICE ARRESTED HIM FOR IT He was charged with assault. Tyjuan is a MANDATORY REPORTER because he works with special needs kids. He is LEGALLY REQUIRED to step in when he sees a vulnerable person being abused. Crenshaw says he saw a man beating a vulnerable young man on Baylor's Lane in Petersburg, Virginia. In his words: "He was beating the hell out of him. After he dropped, he hit him across his head five more times." So Crenshaw stepped in. He says the man told him to mind his own business... then went and got a dog to sic on him. He stood his ground and protected the man until the police got there. When the police showed up, they arrested CRENSHAW. Charged him with assault and listed the man he was trying to stop as the VICTIM!!! But here's the kicker. TWO DAYS LATER, police arrested that same man, Harold Parker, and charged him with ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF AN INCAPACITATED ADULT. The exact thing Crenshaw said he was trying to stop! So the man who stepped in to protect the vulnerable is facing charges. When asked if he would do anything different, Crenshaw said: "If I had to do it all over, I'd do it again!"

#Texas LB Anthony Hill Jr. will be one of the more desirable Day 2 linebackers in April. Violent downhill, very solid range, one of the best LBs in the class as a blitzer, and had good ball production with 11 career forced turnovers. If he lands with a good DC I like his upside.

Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire on the back and forth between him and Steve Sarkisian, wanting to play Texas: "I would love to play Texas, Texas A&M, SMU. I think it's great for the state of Texas and great for the high school coaches. That may be one of the reasons you have so many kids leaving this state. "Because we're not playing each other any more."

Texas Tech LB Jacob Rodriguez LOVES FOOTBALL so much that he; -Left his scholarship at Virginia as QB -Transferred to Texas Tech as a walk on LB -Slept on the ground of his brother’s apartment for an entire semester -Took out a loan to pay for bills and books ABSOLUTE FOOTBALL GUY. NIL and the transfer portal get a lot of hate, but stories like Jacob’s show you how impactful both can be on a student athlete’s life and future in the sport they love. Jacob will play in the NFL because of the sacrifices he made and he is able to support those who supported him right now because of NIL. YOU LOVE TO SEE IT. Check out the Full episode #RG3 #OuttaPocket #WreckEm #TexasTech

The Greatest Texas Tech Football Player To Wear The Number 5 Patrick Mahomes This was a tough one because I had to choose between two of the all-time greats in Texas Tech history: Michael Crabtree and Patrick Mahomes. I told myself going into this series that I wasn’t going to take the easy way out and have ties, so unfortunately, one of these Red Raider legends had to come up short. Crabtree’s Texas Tech résumé is incredible. He won the Biletnikoff Award twice, became a two-time All-American, and finished his career with 231 catches for 3,127 yards and 41 touchdowns. He was the centerpiece of one of the greatest stretches in Texas Tech football history, including the unforgettable 2008 win over No. 1 Texas. If we’re judging strictly on what a player accomplished in the scarlet and black, Crabtree has an extremely strong case. But I’m going with Patrick Mahomes. His Texas Tech career was spectacular, finishing with 11,252 passing yards, 93 passing touchdowns and 12,097 total yards. Then he went on to become a two-time NFL MVP, three-time Super Bowl champion and three-time Super Bowl MVP. What really pushes him over the top for me, though, is that his connection to Texas Tech didn’t end when he left Lubbock. Mahomes has continued to be one of the university’s greatest ambassadors, including a $5 million donation to Texas Tech Athletics and having facilities named in his honor. Unfortunately, there was one thing Mahomes couldn't do at Texas Tech: play defense. And lord knows if Texas Tech had fielded even a mediocre defense instead of a bad defense, Mahomes might have had an even better record in Lubbock. But when you're talking about the greatest No. 5 in Texas Tech history, I'm giving the crown to Patrick Mahomes. Two legends, two incredible careers, but I promised there wouldn't be any ties — and Mahomes gets the nod.

“I really thought, Dad, this was going to be the beginning of a magical run for Cal and that bunch and they let it slip away here. Credit to Texas Tech for grinding that thing out at the end here, just a phenomenal finish to a game that I was ready to put to bed with about 5 minutes left.” Mike Golic Jr “Credit Texas Tech, especially Darrion Williams, for coming back, in that one. Now they have the unenviable task of facing Florida, which I think will be the end of the road for Texas Tech, the way Florida is playing.” Mike Golic
