The first video I saw on MTV hooked me. “Run to the Hills” by Iron Maiden. Loverboy’s first video, “Turn Me Loose” hooked me on the band. Being an MTV kid in the early 80s was spectacular.

I saw them in Spokane, WA along with Quarterflash during the Get Lucky tour. It was a great concert and both acts were fantastic. I miss real music made by talented musicians.

My brother used to get a pot and a spoon and mimic the intro in front of my older sister when she played this album (Get Lucky). She would beat his ass !! Great album… the whole album. “Take me to the top” and “Gangs in the street” are my favorites on this album.

How about some ZZ Top with Frank Beard passing? Eliminator in the 80’s was really good with Sharp Dressed Man and Legs all over MTV

Loverboy had a pretty darn good run back in the day. When MTV first came along in ’81, it seemed like you couldn’t go very long without seeing one of their videos. Great memories from a great time for rock music. I was fortunate enough to catch them on the Get Lucky tour, and I’m mighty glad I did.
