The most tone deaf, out of touch speech you could have given. Interesting you chose Hillsborough, not Bloody Sunday&it's subsequent coverup as your example though-you know the Widgery Report that was found to have been rife with corruption&witness statements tampered with etc!

And you're the SOS for NI? Utterly ignorant and deeply insulting. It's time for the Irish Government to forget about taking this basket case of a nation serious and but a United Ireland at the forefront of their planing. This is nuts.

@columeastwood what is the craic with this balloon they have given us? Is he desperate to insult the nationalists over here? Jesus, this clown is embarrassing.

Ah yes. Thank you for your service! For beating the indiginous people black and blue so as to stop Unionists marching in a triumphant way.

Chris, The solution is so simple. They can March no problem but not down Garvaghy Road, antagonising a community who wants to live in peace. Why is this so difficult after 28 years of peace ? The March continues down Corcrain Road only. You are pandering to trouble making bigots.

To be clear Chris, are you thanking the murderous parachute regiment who went on the rampage in Derry on bloody sunday and in ballymurphy. Two of the priests murdered in ballymurphy are hopefully to be canonised soon. What do you say Chris?

I did 3 Tours during my service in Her Majesty's Royal Marines. One in Belfast and two in South Armagh. I lost a close friend and another had life changing injuries and this is the first time I remember someone from Government saying thank you. Thank you, its never too late 🙏

He’s thanking the people who gunned down civil rights marchers, operated MRF death squads that randomly murdered civilians, who colluded with loyalist murder gangs and subjugated the nationalist community all while trying to pretend they were peacekeepers. A moron.

The UK’s own official Stevens Inquiry (2003) concluded British security forces actively colluded in the murder of Catholic/Nationalist/Pro-Irish civilians. And sabotaged investigations into their murders. Thank them for their service.

Why are you protecting the soldiers who murdered unarmed children, men and women on Bloody Sunday, during Operation Banner @RhonddaBryant what an insult to the victims families thanking their murderers for "their service". Murdering children isn't a SERVICE, it's a WAR CRIME!!

Meanwhile @ChiefConPSNI is attempting to restart the troubles. Why did the PSNI arrange for 200 Scottish riot police to come over a day before telling the Parades Commission that the Orange march through Garvaghy Rd wouldn’t be contentious?
