I jive with these emotions. I'm 39, ironically 13 years older than you - and Giannis was with us for 13 seasons. You're 26. That means Giannis was drafted around the time you were 13. And from your teenage years to mid 20's, you got to watch Giannis develop as you developed as a human. This means he has a very deep connection for you personally going from childhood to adulthood. This is how I felt when Favre was traded. I grew up with Brett Favre in my teenage years to my early adult life. And when he was traded - it was gut wrenching. I know you're a bears fan, so you didn't feel that way when Rodgers got traded --> but, I totally get it. The period in your life he was a Buck. What he accomplished during that time. What he overcame as you're overcoming things. I got to enjoy Giannis when I was your age today, and watching him as I grew into the man I am today, the father I am today. Giannis was when I was on the cusp of my first born child. So his ascension happened during a major change period in my life from mid 20's to now late 30's. and what he did for the bucks helped me through some tough years. So I get it. I am just older now, and this is my third time watching a generational top tier player, get traded from one of my favorite teams in this state. So it becomes a bit easier to understand that business is business as you experience this more and more. I too, like you, believed truly in the end, Giannis would stay. That his loyalty would trump chasing chips, and the Bucks would do other moves to try and get back to the playoffs. But, it's okay. It will be okay Nathan. And I promise there will be future players to attach to and get excited about all over again. And that may start... tonight.
